As the title suggests it is a nice little pub. Live football on the TV. Ordered fish and chips (chef makes his own batter). Lovely food. Ales and beer on draft. Ramsbottom is a lovely little place... make sure you pop in here for a pint (right next to the station).

Went in for an early tea with my grandchildren. The food was just as you would expect from a village pub, wholesome and hot. The staff are lovely but are a bit slow serving , we had to wait ages for our food and had to order more drinks as we had been sat at the table about 45 minutes... More

Food ok, atmosphere not great ( you are looked at like you shouldn't be in their pub), no live music when we went which was a bit disappointing, overall a ok pub but not great

Enjoyed a visit to Ramsbottom to watch the FA Cup football match Ramsbottom v Sheffield FC. Caught the East Lancs Railway train from Bury. The Railway Pub is opposite the station. Very attractive building from the outside. Inside a good selection of ales, the food looked good and screens showing Sky TV sport. Prices very reasonable. Friendly and efficient staff.... More

Ordered 4 meals at 1pm when restaurant was empty. It took an hour to arrive by which time more people had been their meals before us. Food was hot & good. I had veg lasagne, which was only OK. Chips ordered never arrived. Boyfriend got steak & ale pie which was nice but not very hot. Mum had lamb curry... More

Whilst visiting the fantastic 1940's weekend via the East Lancs Railway at Bury, the missus, myself and the in-laws called in at the Railway pub in Ramsbottom for our lunch. Situated directly across from Ramsbottom train station we went simply because it was the most convenient. On entry the pub was quite empty which was surprising given all the crowds... More

Cheap & Cheerful Basic Cuisine but the bar was super busy because of the 1940s Wartime Weekend Event over the road The soup arrived without the spoon although I was partly to.blame for changing the starter. However that was because I was waiting ages for the original choice which never came

Popped in on a very wet and cold afternoon. Served promptly at the bar to a selection of 4 real ales. The place was empty with about 3 people reading newspapers at the bar, Sky sports playing in the lounge but the atmosphere was empty. The place was freezing also. Turn the heating or the fire on and liven the... More

We called in off the train and although pretty busy, the welcome was ok but not overwhelming ! Once we had some drinks though we were good to go and the food we ordered was great and very hot ! Here is my funny bit.........I bought a bottle of Prosecco for about £ 20 and they just handed me the... More
