We all opted for the carvery, expecting it to be the usual go up and help yourself type carvery but instead it was brought plated to the table. The portion sizes were good enough however... More

On holiday to hometown of Chester. Gluten free menu at The Plough, regularly updated (I'm told). Welcoming and friendly environment. Thank you Ella Moore, your help and happy face made the day!

This is a lovely pub. It's in a great setting with small children's play area and garden. Our family of 5 all had different meals and they were all delicious. We were disappointed to be full up after shared starters and our mains so didn't get the chance to try dessert. Our relatives were up from Worcestershire and completely loved... More

We were looking for somewhere close to Chester to have lunch before heading to the Races for a client event. David and his team were incredibly welcoming and the food was excellent, all homemade fresh, even though there were 50 of us! Lovely atmosphere in the pub and plenty of choice for the beer aficionados. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend... More

What does it take to make a good pub? It's not that difficult. Good ale, good food and good staff. All set in a great location. The Plough Inn has all of these and more besides. The Sunday Lunch and the theme nights are well worth a visit. We enjoyed American Wednesday!

Loved The Plough. Service was friendly and surprisingly fast given how busy they were. I think we were probably lucky to get a table without booking as they are obviously popular for Sunday lunch. We enjoyed our food very much. The roast dinner was spectacular, far too big really but we soldiered on and ate it all! Wish we lived... More
