As it’s almost our local we decided to try an early evening meal and take advantage of Mr Sunak’s generosity. The arrival and seating process was a little bit awkward, but these are difficult times. We would have been happy to sit inside but for the inane pop music being played. So we ended up in the marquee, which as others have commented is not the most salubrious dining location. However the staff were friendly and service was pretty quick. In summary we had fairly average pub food. Several dishes were off the menu, not the best sign. Starters were quite nice (tempura fried prawns and whitebait). My fillet steak was overcooked (medium to well instead of medium rare) but was tender. The accompanying chips, mushroom, tomatoes, onion rings and salad were OK. My wife had spare ribs - again OK but not the best we have had. The Chilean red wine was very drinkable. With Mr Sunak’s discount we paid around £45. As pub food this was OK but we were a little disappointed. We also felt a bit uneasy in the rather cramped bar area when we arrived and returned to settle our bill. I feel that regular pub drinkers may be too unconcerned about the need for distancing.

Myself and a friend have just had a lovely evening here 19/08/20. We were welcomed as soon as we arrived. They have sanitiser when you first go in & you write your name & number for track & trace. We were shown to our table & we ordered drinks that came straight away then ordered food. The waitress was very friendly & answered any questions we had due to food allergies. We had starters which were a meal in themselves, you definitely get a lot for your money & everything was cooked just right. We then had the carvery which had 3 different meats & all the trimmings, was so nice & definitely filling. We were looked after throughout the time we were there. I will definitely be recommending The Rose Revived to family & friends & will be there a lot more myself. To all the staff, thank you for a great evening. Two very happy & full customers :)

We were booked for Christmas Day Lunch at The Rose Revived, due to circumstances obviously this could not happen, so we took the decision to have the Christmas Dinner delivery service that was being offered. We did not know what to expect, but we were not disappointed at all,the meal was exceptional,it was a full Christmas Lunch with ALL the trimmings including veggie gravy for myself, delivered to our door for the most reasonable price.
All i can say is thank you to the amazing staff who made this happen on Christmas Day.We can't wait to come back to the restaurant. In the meantime order from the takeaway menu if you live locally, you won't be disappointed.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch here, everything was cooked to perfection. Had the full roast and the lemon meringue pie for dessert!
We had three lunches, three desserts and six alcoholic drinks and the bill was under £80 which I thought was very reasonable! The service was also very good and very attentive but not in your face attentive. My only grip was it was quite chilly in the restaurant!

First visit here. For £8.95, the Wednesday carvery can't be beaten - three meats, Yorkshire and seven vegetable sides.
Can't comment on the normal menu, but everything at the carvery was good. Friendly service.
Three real ales on tap, all in good condition.

We booked a table for 1:45pm for 3 at the Rose Revived Hadlow. We ordered 3 mains,1 starter and 2 desserts. With a few drinks a small beer, a glass of white wine and a soft drink and a bottle of tap water. I had a starter of bbq chicken wings which were very tasty. Two mains of fish and chips with peas and 1 classic burger with cheese with chips and salad, my burger was a bit dry but perfectly edible, the bun I think had sat under a heat lamp. The fish and chips were tasty and well cooked I’m told. My wife’s dessert of chocolate orange torte was lovely, my brother in law’s 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce again was great. Meal was nice but not brilliant could be better. We will have another try and see at a later date. Drinks were ok. Price was £69 plus tip for three. And we got to see a helicopter take off in the field behind.

Booked to take advantage of Eat Out to Help Out. Seemed a little confusion over our confirmed booking but quickly resolved. I suspect that the inclement weather may have put pressure on indoor availability. Ordered the Carvery (Wednesdays) and weren't disappointed, Well cooked meat selection (rare beef, turkey and Gammon) and a good choice of veg all well cooked and presented. Thoroughly enjoyed this and will be more than happy to return at standard price.

I was very pleased to see how well organised the entire pub and restaurant was and the staff were absolutely lovely and welcoming. We got a table in a room to ourselves which was decorated with lights and a fireplace.
My one fault was that it took quite a long time to be served and even longer for our food to arrive. I’m aware that staff shortages may have impacted this though. The food itself was good especially the starters we had. My partners main was a burger and didn’t come plain which we were told was possible by the waitress which was why we went ahead and ordered it. We couldn’t catch the attention of the waitress and didn’t want to wait again so did not complain.
Overall a positive visit, just be aware that service times may be longer than expected (which is no one’s fault of course).

We hadn’t been back here since before covid and I wish we hadn’t bothered. The starter was nice but our mains were forgotten about. My partners salmon tasted as though the salmon had been cooked from frozen (or defrosted) - at least use fresh salmon please. Service was very slow and it wasn’t even fully booked. Won’t be back.

The Rose Revived carvery delivery service was not only exceptionally tasty but delivered to our door on time and with a smile. They coped with a tricky vegetarian with wheat allergy request too, even with their current restricted menu. Good value for money too.

We prebooked and arrived for a Sunday carvery meal there were five of us
The service was slow even for drinks
None of us had a starter but went straight in for the carvery after a 45 minute wait.
The ham looked undercooked, there was no beef however I must say the turkey was delicious.
The aunt Bessie Yorkshire puddings had been frozen
The roast potatoes were burnt as were the carrots and parsnips. The red cabbage was edible. Nobody came to ask if we were happy with our food.
Dessert was different, it was fresh and very nice but not worth £8 a head.
We were all driving so asked for tea and coffee we were told the machine was not working so there were no hot drinks so we asked for the bill which was £118.00
They even asked for a tip which was declined.
Would we return for another meal? Certainly not.

My wife and I went here for light lunch (as we quite frequently do) especially as we had heard that there was a new menu.
Having looked at the new menu, we were not that impressed. Firstly you needed a magnifying glass to read it, and secondly I ordered a ciabatta as I normally do.
When my ciabatta was presented, I queried that there were no chips, as chips had always previously been an accompaniment with this dish. The waitress advised that this was the new menu, and you had to order chips separately.
So - filled ciabatta price stayed the same but it cost an extra £3 to have chips with it.
In summary :- Unimpressive menu + Greed = 2 x Lost Customers

Very average visit, you could tell that the pub had been busy all day and maybe not enough staff but we felt a bit ignored. our drinks took 25 minutes and then we were not told when we could go to the carvery so we just took ourselves , and to be fair the food was nice once we had it. This has the potential to be a fab pub but the staff were not on the ball and/or rushed off their feet

On the spur of the moment while travelling back to Tonbridge from Maidstone late in the day we popped in for dinner. On Thursdays the special offer is steak, chips and salad for two for £20 - a considerable saving over the a la carte prices. OK, so rump steak is not my preferred option but our steaks were enjoyably tasty, with plenty of chips, sauces and a salad. The beer and wine were also very good. It was rather quiet but we enjoyed chatting with charming young Elucia, who had been promoted that very day to assistant manager. We came away with a discount card for use Mon -Weds and I think we will return!

Such a shame went for a carvery here for Mother’s Day. Shown to our table given menus asked drinks order and food order. Asked them to give us a couple of minutes for the food as we hadn’t decided for the kids. Came back took our order but didn’t tell us if we just go up for the carvery etc so say for a few minutes to find out as we had never been before. Went up with my son to get our carvery he was given one slide of meat, litrally one slice he doesn’t eat anything else apart from the meat and a Yorkshire which was a shame. So I got the same meat as him and gave him mine I asked for an extra Yorkshire was told no not really (chef seemed so happy to be there, NOT). If I’m mistaken but normally it’s just the meat that’s limited at a carvery. Well onto the potatoes and veg, well what was there was minimal. Roasted carrots, broccoli, stuffing, potatoes. Would hardly call it a carvery more like a limited choice roast dinner. When seated again we asked for some ketchup for the kids. This was slammed on the table. It wasn’t a warm welcoming pub. Staff wasn’t too interested in providing a nice service either. We drove 45 minutes to try this pub and what a let down on Mother’s Day also! Total came to £91 for a baby, two kids and two adults no deserts. Wouldn’t of minded the price if it was decent food and decent variety paying £16.95 for a bit of meat, stuffing, potatoes and a Yorkshire is a bit excessive because they had no variety of veg.
