We were looking for a place for a coffee outside of Bedale on the way to Leyburn, & stumbled across this place. About a mile off the main road, but well worth the detour. Lovely home-cooked scone/cake, great coffee & indoor & outdoor play areas to occupy the children! Small mock-up rooms inside for the kids & a big climbing... More

High quality, well presented food for a more than reasonable price. Lovely selection of choice of meals and cakes, and friendly service. The building overlooks the Yorkshire countryside, we will definitely be back!

We visited high parks for afternoon tea whilst stopping in bedale. This place is lovely, the views are stunning and the staff very friendly. If you have children, there is lots for them to do. They have an area with mini houses/shops, an outdoor playground as well as a field for them to play on. There's also the miniature ponies... More

Lovely location, overlooking open countryside. Visited twice, afternoon tea which was very filling and excellent value; then dales cream tea which again was lovely. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

We stopped in for lunch today. The tearooms are in a delightful spot with magnificent views across the dale. We ate in the main restaurant, small but perfectly formed. We had the special and the sausages and mash - both were very tasty and good sized portions. The service was friendly and speedy. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will... More

Hello, Glad you found the place lovely and enjoyed the views! We appreciate your feedback and are aware that the speed of service was slower than we strive for. Mother's Day does tend to be a very busy day for us, especially in the Children's Area. We would love for you to visit again for a second chance! Kind regards,... More

Description
Our tearoom is a traditional dales experience with home bakery, homemade soups, afternoon teas, savouries, and full hot as well as cold meals. We offer traditional Yorkshire breakfast, have daily specials and a brunch menu on Sundays.

We are proud to use local ingredients wherever possible, including Taylors of Harrogate teas and coffees, Brymor ice cream and clotted cream as well as Cockburn's of Bedale.

The tearoom offers a beautiful panoramic view over the dale, a terrace for those sunny days, indoor and outdoor areas for kids to play rain or shine, as well as a coffee loft for a quiet place to chat and relax.
