I love going for a cappuccino or a bite at lunch time. They serve good coffee/ baguettes with great service and a smile to kick off your day in a good mood especially sweet Mary and Bora.
Will definitely recommend!

Fed up with over-priced and low quality, which has become far too common in Malta, expectations weren't high when we decided to just test somewhere new. A table was made ready for us inside and we were given quick, friendly, and expert service, like really, really.
The starter platter "Medium" with cold cuts and cheeses was more than enough for 3 people and the quality very good.
We ordered 3 different pizzas and shared and they were all great in their own ways, and very different from each other. We really felt how the food was made with passion!
With a very sparse menu of around 10 pizzas, they've seemingly managed to find perfection in what they serve.
We have honestly been grumbling lately, and felt better to eat in, but this place is definitely worthy of another visit and it was great to feel that we weren't "stitched up" when it comes to the cost. It was not a bargain, as in super cheap for top quality, but we did not feel overcharged either. More like "real value for money".
The place itself is quirky and very nice, and the 4 members of staff we interacted with were all very courteous and friendly.

I have been visiting Proscutteria for over a year now and have been going on different ocassions which are for coffee and also for dinner, I have also ordered the Pinsa many times take away with delivery and since I live about 20 minutes away I can say that the Pinsa was delivered hot as if I was eating it in the restaurant.
I have also bought things to make Carbonara at home and Gioa (who works there) was really helpful explaining how I should use the ingredients and suggested the right amount for the number of people.
In a few words, Proscutteria became my place to go to for Pinsa

I keep on returning to this place and I never get disappointed. When you come and eat here its like you a really eating in a restaurant in Italy. The staff was so friendly but the waitress Luisa goes the extra mile to let you feel at home, she is extremely helpful and have a lovely bubbly character. I told her that I am vegeterian and wanted to try a Pinsa good for me. She recommended me to have one custom made for me even tough there isn't written on the menu made with zucchini that they marinate themselves, aubergines, Burrata and sprinkled with Pistacchio crumbs. It was so scrumptious and crispy I was in seventh heaven. I had their homemade Tiramisu which was so creamy and tastes like an authentic one.
It is one of the best pizza in Malta I have ever tasted so If you feel like having a good pizza make sure to go at this place for a wonderful experience.

Amazing quality ingredients. One of the staff recommended the pizza carbonara with extra truffle on it. Delicious!
The staff are very friendly especially gioia who took her time to explain the menu and served us with a warm smile on her face. THAANK YOU, upu truly made oue visit a pleasant one!
You will definately see us again and will reccommend to anyone!

Having done all our household chores, the wife insisted we go out for a quick lunch at a Restaurant along The Strand in Gzira. Not wanting anything extraordinary we took a table at Prosciutteria an Italian Restaurant serving food both indoors and outdoors. The ambience is that of a 3star Restaurant but the food that we picked turned out to be 5star supreme.
From under the section of Taglieri (selection of cheeses & salami), we picked up a small size platter which we shared. It went down well with a bottle of Italian beer.
For our main, we both agreed on a Pizza. Prosciutteria offers a different type of pizza, more Roman than Napolitan or otherwise. It's not exactly a pizza, in fact, it's called "Pinsa". It is an oval shape, digestible, using a mixture of three different flours. My wife went for a Pinsa Margherita with tomato sauce, basil and tuna instead of mozzarella. I prefered Pinsa Porchetta, with mozzarella and savoury roast pork. It is good to note that true porchetta is made from whole suckling pig, stuffed with flavourings such as fennel, herbs, and indeed its own offal, cooked over a pit until perfectly tender. In Lazio, rosemary tends to be the most prominent flavouring.
Our choice of Pinsas was simply delightful and we were both pleased with our order. Excellent service helped in making us feel relaxed and satisfied. We will surely return.
The cost came up to €46 tips included.

If you love a pizza which is so crunchy and full of flavour this is the place to come. I had the Pinsa Burrata and Parma and it was baked to perfection literally to die for. If you are in the vicinities of Gzira make sure to have a lovely Pinsa from them if you really want to have a proper Italian Pizza. The waitress Luisa was so friendly and really helpful which made our visit there an excellent experience. As a dessert I took their homemade Tiramisu which was so good too. I will return soon for sure.

Such a great place to have some wine, and if you’re hungry, they have awesome stuff to offer. Apart from platters and good wine selection, I highly recommend their pinsa carbonara and tiramisu. Outstanding! They really know what they’re doing!

Highly recommended! We had two fabulous pizzas to share. The spicey Italian sausage, and the "special" pork cheek with mozzarella cheese and courgette. The dough base was both light and fluffy yet crisp and delicious, with generous toppings. Really impressed with the friendly and helpful staff. The waitress recommended a fabulous wine to help the meal along. Loved the whole experience.

Had pizza with white wine, both were amazing, as was the starter. The atmosphere was intimate, but at the same time the feeling was still very social. The kind staff really made us feel welcome and at home - it was really fun meeting you, can't wait to come back!

Location is very good, the waiters are friendly (special Thanks to Andrea!!), house wine is pretty good. We ate bruschettoni (tomato, basil, olive oil) and a medium plate. Medium plate is more than enough for a couple!!! It is like heaven on earth, extremely delicious, full-filled with flavors. Marinated zucchini and aubergine were extra surprise. :)
I could speak in superlatives, we will definitely get back and try the pizza! Thank you for the culinary opportunity!

When I decide to write a review, it constitutes an excellent feedback in it self. Angelo was our waiter for the evening, and delivered service second to none. Selected a red wine for us that went along perfectly with a pizza so good I had to order a second one that we shares as “dessert”.

Like the title says, we get lunch here every week. I usually get the "goloso" special (pinsa/pizza, water, an espresso, and a dessert to share; an excellent deal) plus a glass of red while my husband might get the mortadella sandwich plus aperol spritz or might try something new. It's always tough: go with what you know and love or experiment? A good problem to have. The cured meats are great, the hot pinza is great, the pan cotta is great...you get the picture. Plus the staff is very kind. Eat here and you'll be happy you did. Make reservations if you want to come for dinner on a weekend.

Guys! Listen me up!
If you are looking for a perfect dinner and don't want to be disappointed by the taste, don't want to get nervous because of the behaviors and don't want be to uncomfortable because of the environment, here is the perfect option!!!
We have been coming to this restaurant over 4 years now and EVERY TIME we have been welcomed by smiling and extremely kind staff. Especially Angelo and Giacomo always managed to make our day!!!
The taste has never been changed. Try pinsa Margherita with truffles :)
They also have different good quality products you can buy such us coffee, truffle souce etc.
Ps. The selection of Amari is spot on!

Best pizza in Malta (and probably even further). After we first had a dinner here we had to repeat another 2 times during a week long stay. The food (pizza + tiramisu) was delicious, home made (all italian ingredients) with care and at the same time very reasonable priced. Angelo is one of the most down to earth and heartwarming person we've ever met. If you are in Gzira waste no time finding your favourite restaurant. Thanks for the limoncellos and the lovely food, hopefully we can meet again. Noémi and Ádám from Hungary
