Family-cooked meal, just as if visiting a friend’s house

Intriqued by the good reviews and suggested dishes went in on a Wed night dinner. Got very attentive service by the host, were treated just as friends visiting their home. Food was simple but outstanding in quantity and quality yet very modestly priced. No doubt, a place well worth a visit if in Langkawi.

Best food on the island

I rarely write reviews, but just had to leave one for this unexpected gem at the south of Langkawi island. The middle-eastern food is authentic, absolutely delicious (the best my husband has ever eaten, and that’s saying something!), and is cooked fresh to order. The chicken shawarmas, falafel and hummus were our particular favourites, with huge portions! Rami looks after everyone with kindness and consideration and we were made to feel so welcome. This is also easily one of the cleanest places we have eaten during our travels through Asia, with a sink and paper towels for hand-washing and every table is thoroughly cleaned after use. We came back here multiple times during our stay in Langkawi because there simply wasn’t anywhere better.

Quick and nice lunch in Langkawi

After being in splash out with our kids we look for a nearby place for a lunch. We just walk in a 2pm when the restaurant was just opening and the young owner’s daughter welcome us inside. The chicken Kebab my son ordered was definitely the best dish but overall we liked the warm atmosphere especially when the owner start to explain my son how the “shisha” works and told us about his arrival in Malaysia from Syria and his previous working experience. Definitely a nice place to go if you are in this part of Langkawi close to overprice hotel restaurants.

Excellent Middle Eastern Food

We enjoyed delicious and very authentic Syrian food for good value. The small restaurant requires reservations so they can handle the crowd with good service and reasonable wait time for food. PLEASE NOTE: cash only. ATM is 5 minute walk if needed. Restaurant is about a mile from Eagle Square and the shopping centers

From Grill to Plate

Rami was an amazing host. I’ve been on the island for 30 days, and finally came across Alhamdulilah Restaurant recently, and it nothing but blew my mind. The food was amazingly delicious, better than any Middle Eastern I’ve had in Kuala Lumpur. To top that off, Rami, also serves Shisha at really affordable prices in comparison to all the operators in the area. In short, value for money, and you will leave with a really big smile on your face.

Good food!

We tried to come here to eat earlier this week, but they were closed. Recommend to call them and make sure that they are open and maybe book a table. Food was delicious, after one hour of arring we did have foods, so prepare to wait a while. Chickenswarma was delicious!! Really good food, worth trying.

A gem of a restaurant

Without a doubt, this is the best Arabic restaurant I’ve visited in a long time. The interior is so stylish yet equally as homely and cosy. The food feels homemade and has a distinct quality that only comes from an authentic Syrian chef. We met the owner personally and were highly impressed by his enthusiastic attitude and hospitality. I would 100% visit again. Alhamdulillah 👍🏻

Unexpected gem tucked away in the side streets of Langkawi

Lovely (and cheap) middle eastern food but the best thing about this place is the family who own. They are Syrian refugees who have started this business from nothing and have got by cooking yummy and authentic home cooked Syrian food. Meeting the owner was a real privilege and I hope that he is able to continue to thrive after his family's adversities. Had the shwarma and garlic sauce and it was very yummy!

Great little restaurant ... Amazing Food

My wife and I went here last Saturday night for dinner, met at the door by an open sign that was lovingly created by the owners Daughter who coincidentally offered him use of her play cash register for the nights takings - very cute. We both had the Chicken Shawarma and it was absolutely delicious. Will definitely go back next time we are again in Langkawi. Only a small family run restaurant, so get in early if you want to guarantee a table. Thanks for a great meal.

Delicious and authentic cuisine

We visited as a family of five and shared a number of dishes, all of which were freshly made (which is how all their orders are prepared, ie. nothing is pre-cooked). The chicken shawarma was exceptional; the fatoosh, Syrian kebab and shish tawouk were delicious and the warm hospitality from the owner was the icing on the cake. Also, the premises and toilets were spotless. This is an establishment that clearly prides itself on every facet of the service it provides and is a must visit when on the island.

Not only the food was probably the best midle eastern food I’ve ever tried (all products were fresh and cooked in the exact moment we ordered) but also the owners were so friendly. Very tasty food but long wait

The food here is very tasty. We ordered the mixed beef and lamb kebab with chips, thankfully we also ordered a garlic dip each (very tasty and home made) but I think without this it would’ve been a little bit dry. Similarly, the chilli sauce also ensured the kebab wasn’t dry. The service was exceedingly slow, despite only three groups of people (two 2’s and a 3) in the restaurant - we waited over 45 minutes for our food even though our order was simple. Also, we were first in the restaurant but got served last which was very strange as the other tables’ orders were all individually different. Waiter seems like a nice guy overall so service was pleasant, but no apology for the delay. All in all, very good food but be ready for a wait.

Great food in a friendly atmosphere

A small, very nicely decorated restaurant with a friendly and hospitable atmosphere, offering excellent Syrian food. All dishes are cooked fresh, but it is worth the wait: excellent food, perfectly seasoned, large portions at a reasonable price. If you are looking for a change from Malay food, go to this restaurant, you will not regret it!
