We were not supposed to eat here that night but DAMN it was worth it ! :)
The polite and welcoming chef introduced us to his menu (which isn’t so big but everything is fresh and locally fished and homemade). The restaurant was full and they were apparently short on staff but everything went smoothly. We ordered oysters, paella and (strongly recommended) the fish of the day with a truffled polenta. The dessert was lovely as well with a homemade baba au rhum and ice cream. It was delicious as well as the wine ! The place is cosy and cute.

A lovely resaurant specialising in seafood, mainly fruits de mer and associated shellfish. It was served with spped and efficiency and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately it was a hot day and all the courtyard tables were booked. It is very popular and you would be wise to book. The fruits de mer were delcious and great value for money

Delicious seafood, friendly and efficient service but not rushed. Everything made to order (e.g. forewarned half an hour wait for risotto) and looking around everyone’s food looked equally appetising. Will definitely go again next time we’re in La Cotiniere.

Self-service atmosphere... You choose at the counter, you pay and you leave with your tray of drinks to choose your table... What a disappointment for a very ordinary cuisine compared to the previous semi-gastronomic concept!

Le midi pour différentes raisons (recrutement, temps de travail...) nous avons pris la décision de proposer une "formule" simplifiée.
Cuisine faite maison, rapide, et authentic. Cette solution se généralise dans la restauration.
Je vous invite donc à réserver votre table le soir et vous pourrez continuer à découvrir notre cuisine créative.
Nous communiquons le plus possible : à votre arrivée, au téléphone, sur les réseaux sociaux....

You pay in advance for your meal, and you discover for €20 a tasteless Caesar salad and a standardized "homemade" tart (shortbread tart base with a chocolate filling) which looks more like a Metro product than what you find in a real restaurant. You have the choice of ice cream in a small pot with a wooden spoon under the lid.... like in our children's canteen..
When questioned, the manager told us that it is better in the evening!!!... for us this appetizer will be sufficient!!!
In short, the worst memories... for 20€ anyway!!

We order 2 plates of 6 oysters, we are offered a plate of 12. No problem except that we are brought a plate of 12 oysters alone, no individual plate no container to put the shells and no vinegar/shallots.

Had a seafood platter, nothing to say about the quality of the products.
On the other hand, the service is poor and not up to par. The waiters flit around the room without really paying attention to the waiting customers.
For seafood, it must be said that the shelling was alone and there was demand. In addition, everything is weighed, they could prepare cups of shrimp, whelks... already weighed. Based on previous comments, we went to this establishment for dinner. Smiling welcome, sunny/covered terrace without much charm overlooking the street. Sea dish well presented but with rubbery razor clams, Godaille with a fairly dry mullet fillet and an accompanying purée in tasteless reddish waves. Very ordinary white Chardonnay despite its price.

Packed restaurant so wait a while. Table "from the barrel", eaten à la carte. Tuna with three similarly colored but different tasting mousses. Tuna baked perfectly! Friendly service, the staff is very professional, we were entitled to a detailed explanation of the different dishes on the menu, quite rare to underline this. The dishes are original and very good, we tried several dishes and we enjoyed them.
The terrace is very pleasant.

Arriving for the 7 p.m. service, the waitress recorded our choice around 7:10 p.m. and the appetizer with shrimp was served to us around 7:15 p.m.
An hour later, seeing nothing coming, we worried about it with the waitress who told us that it was in progress.
