Exceptional asian and western food!

The Colonial restaurant doesn't have a large menu, but what they do have is perfectly seasoned and portioned. There isn't any fish on the menu, which is nice to see as a diver! The beer is always cold and the cocktails, which are hand made, don't disappoint. Nothing is more refreshing than a fresh young coconut with ice after a dive! I miss it already. We had our breakfast in buffet form. There was sourdough bread, a local cake, fresh whole and sliced fruit, homemade jam, yoghurt, granola and musli in abundance. You can also have your eggs any which way with ham, sausage or bacon. A daily breakfast spacial was also available. It could be waffels, pancakes or fried noodles. All made fresh for you. It was a really nice way to start the day. Lunch was included in our dive package and we had a daily choice of a vegetarian or non vegetarian dish. We had 10 dive days and didn't eat the same thing twice. We were so eager to try everything! Dinner was also a treat. We tried almost everything on the menu and the daily specials, which were amazing. The food was so good that we just didn't eat anywhere else. The wait staff are so friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. I was pleasantly surprised when they offered me local treats off menu. I'm a foodie and was curious to taste what the locals ate. Compliments and hats off to the wait and kitchen staff, who work tirelessly and are always friendly, cheerful and go out of their way to accommodate you.

Tasty Indonesian dishes such as Soto ayam, pepesan ikan and nasi kuning. Nice relaxed atmosphere with diving cylinder sounds in the background. Nice service. Good value for money.

Super dupper yummy food!

We stayed at the ok divers resort so we ate here a lot and the food was always so good! They have one of the best burgers I have ever eaten and their desserts are very addicting! And the Mexican tomato soup is also so delicious!! The food, and drinks we amazing and the staff was very kind! Fantastic outdoor restaurant with an ocean breeze, however, some very inconsiderate people chose to smoke in the middle of the restaurant. But overall the food, the people, everything was incredible!

Great venue, disappointing food

The Colonial has a lot going for it - great location, very attractive venue, excellent staff, etc., but the food is a disappointment. Last night we had Barracuda, chips & salad and Fettucine Carbonara. The fish was a beautiful steak which had been ruined by being seriously overcooked. The pasta was also overcooked and barely edible. Two very easy dishes for the kitchen to prepare, but both woefully badly cooked. The only red wine by the glass was Hatton. Anyone who spends time here in Bali knows that it is totally unpalatable. I tasted it - it hadn't improved. But none of the other wine list options were available by the glass. What a pity - from the restaurant that has the potential to be the best in town.

Large accommodation small dining attendance tells it all. Burger was tasteless and 5 large wedges just tight, fish and chips just ok but small portions Beer quite spicy No atmosphere and music on repeat Staff ok tho

On the other hand, we are very sad to hear from you that you were not really satisfied with the meals served in our restaurant. We work really hard to offer tasty food in our restaurant. It is true that we are not the cheapest in terms of the price. However, we deeply believe our meals are the best quality and always fresh- made and guests are mostly very satisfied and leave our place with a good culinary experience. However, with the best quality ingredients comes a higher price, and that is the reason why we can't be the cheapest since we want to keep our quality as the priority. Exceptional place for cafe or dinner. While it is not expensive at all, it offers five star treatment. Everything was amazing, the brownie with ice-cream to the beef signature dish. Highly recommended.

Food was tasteless and we had to wait for a long time. Overcooked burger with an burned egg was a big dissapointment . The staff and place was nice, but food isn't what you wanna enjoy on your holiday Cocktail wasn't any better either Might have been a good place in the past
