OK team I gotta say I've only been here once however what I had was great. The service was fine and basically all the business side of things presented no issues. The food was fine and the overall vibe of the place was both casual while at the same time quite pleasant. Definitely a place I'll revisit when I'm in the area to try some of their other dishes.

Found this place when I was staying in the area for work a few months back. It was a welcome surprise, very extensive menu and great service. Dining alone unfortunately limited my selection.
It was my delight to find them on menulog when staying in the cbd this time. In town for a few nights I ordered a selection of curries so I had leftovers to enjoy. Food was quick to arrive and hot. The only disadvantage is missing out on the restaurant service. Will order / visit again.

Normally this is great but today they were destroyed by the delivery service which took way too long and obviously had other orders to be delivered away from our area. The papadams were soft and were thrown out. The rest had to be heated up. Normally delivered in 30 mins, tonight over an hour. This restaurant must change their delivery provider or they will go broke. Will give you one more chance. There’s so many other options you can’t mess this simple thing up. Sack Door Dash.

I live in Melbourne and this is my favourite Indian restaurant, I’ve been coming here on and off for years. The food is amazing, and has never let me down. I have brought many friends and family here. The restaurant itself isn’t a fine dining experience, don’t expect much in the way of lovely tables and chairs/decor but the food is so so good. I love the eggplant dish, the butter chicken and the butter naan. 5/5 from me!

Good curry in a small cafe in Fitzroy. Quirky but good staff. The onion bhajias were great, would highly recommend.

We had the $26 per person banquet and had a delicious range of dishes, and huge servings.
Entree was samosa and moist yummy chicken tikka on a sizzling plate. Then 4 curries, 2vegetarian, were all fabulous with rice and naan. Brought leftovers home.
We will be back.
Casual environment and nice staff.

Wonderful food, particularly the Rogan Josh and the Korma though the patron next to us ordered the Tandori chicken dish which looked amazing, so will be ordering that next time. Sadly we attended when a large groups were present, including one woman who shrieked like a banshee, getting louder the more alcohol she consumed, but the thoughtful waitress assisted us by moving us to a quieter table saving my ears and my sanity

We hadn't been back here for a while and instantly regretted the delay! The food was excellent, particularly the rogan josh and the tandoori chicken (it had tandoor flavour and colour all the way through unlike many places). The prices are reasonable the service attentive and very friendly.

Every trip to Melbs is never complete until we've eaten here! The service & quality of meals is second to none. It's BYO wine & absolute value for money. Probably too cheap really for the tantalizing flavours, quantities & delicious quality of food. The decor may not be 5 star, but the food certainly is. My favourite place to eat, drink & b happy in this neck of the woods 😆

We had walked past Fitz Curry a couple of times and just couldn't resist those exotic Indian Curry flavour smells wafting our way - so we did a walk-in for dinner. There were other diners but not really busy. The menu offered a great range of traditional dishes and the prices reasonable. We were quite satisfied with the meal sizes and the service was good. They also have Gluten Free and Vegan dishes on the menu, and it is licensed and BYO (wine). We thoroughly enjoyed our dishes ie. Tikka Marsala and Rogan Josh and Garlic naan on the side. And we look forward to going back next time in Fitzroy - loved it.

Fitzroy
Fitzroy is an unusual blend of working class roots, hip gentrification, and a robust bohemian work ethic. Along Brunswick Street and its side streets, you'll find little independent shops where local clothes and furniture designers display their wares. There are specialist bookshops, funky record bars, and quality vintage clothing shops where browsing is the next best thing to buying. Gertrude Street is famous for its cuisine and art galleries, but if you want to buy an old-fashioned snooker table, there is a shop for that too. Small pubs still exist, tucked away on the corners of suburban side streets that serve up traditional Sunday roasts. Live music abounds, and the street performers play so hard you worry to tip them would ruin their concentration. Venture to the Spanish quarter on Johnston Street and you may even find street dancing. It is all happening amidst off-beat street murals and the shuffle of a very funky neighbourhood that embraces both old and new.
