Went for lunch. Very simple but nice, clean and attractive restaurant. Super friendly reception and service. Serving timings were perfect! What counts obviously most is the quality of the food. We had the vegetable soup and the tagliata. Very tasty and the meat was tender...and cooked to perfection.More
This is long overdue but...
Me and and my partner stopped here for lunch on our way up into the hills when we were staying at Sassi. Parked up in the small square and enquired about getting lunch late in the day. Wow! Welcomed with...open arms. Nothing too much trouble.
My partner is from Birmingham and it turned out that the lady owner, although thoroughly Italian, originally comes from Brum too!
Great food and service.More
In my opinion, this is one of the best restaurants in the Barga, Gallicano area. The food is in incredible and the service is warm and friendly. The husband/wife proprietors were exceptionally nice and made us feel like welcome guests. The number of local patrons...is testimony to the great food and great value. If I had to choose one restaurant to return to in the area, this would be it.More
This was a recommendation from a local person at our hotel. The service, food, and atmosphere was amazing. Such great prices for the quality of food. Do not miss!
Our hotel recommended this restaurant, and we are so glad we did. The food was amazing, and the owner and staff were wonderful. We were able to eat outside, and it was perfect. We ended up going again, it was that terrific.
A group of five of us found this wonderful place from a recommendation from a local person. We were welcomed with a complementary appetizer and warm welcome. We started with a fresh antipasto, the melon was perfect. Each of us had a main which was...devoured. My dish was a veal marsala. It melted in my mouth. A round of desserts and complementary iced limoncello followed. If you can sit outside in the little square. Highly recommend!More
Fourth generation family restaurant with food traditions going back over 100 years. Excellent food and service. Try the truffle or wild boar pasta with reasonably priced Amorone. With Mario or Elena in the front of the house and Franco in the kitchen you cannot go...wrong. Very easy and relaxing. The rooms are spacious and clean with good views if you don't feel like driving further.More
