Like others who have written reviews we were staying at that near by hotel and wanted to eat nearby but not at the hotel. We took pot luck with this pub and were delighted we did. Lovely warm fire, friendly welcome and we greatly enjoyed the meal. Fish was beautifully cooked. Wish I lived closer so I could use the... More

My wife and I were staying locally and decided to pop in for an evening meal. The pub had a nice atmosphere, a good range of drinks and friendly staff. The menu had plenty of choice (including a wide range of burgers) and there were specials, too. Prices were very reasonable. I opted for the pie of the day (chicken,... More

Absolutely superb. Good food, large portions, good beer & amazing friendly staff. Went intoa watch the rugby whilst staying in a hotel near by. Had a fantastic meal and staff gave us the remotes for the TV. Staff where friendly and attentive during the match. Then we enquired about food staff then quickly updated the specials boards especially for us... More

Great choice for a pub meal lunchtime or evening. As there are rooms here they also serve breakfast. The main room is divided into sections, with plenty of room between tables and an open fire. Staff were friendly and food was served quickly although we never felt rushed. We had the "2 main meals for £16" offer where the choice... More

Been here few times now. Nice little pub. Did eat here for the 1st time and was bit dissapointed. Ordered liver but unfortunately it came ooozing blood, got told thats how it comes, maybe good idea to tell customers when ordering :( Not for me. No hassle to swap for something else tho and I choose the bubble and squeak... More

After arriving late at the nearby Q hotel and finding the evening dining was fully booked we checked out the local cuisine on Trip Advisor. We booked by phone on 40 minutes before arrival but that was no problem. The Coach and Horses is a 4 minute drive from the hotel and when we arrived parking was available. We were... More

What could be better, sitting in front of an open fire on a frosty morning, munching on a full English? This place really hit the spot. The breakfast was spot on with the black pudding being just to my taste. Also very good value for money with the total for both of us about £18 both having a full breakfast... More

My husband and I were staying at a local hotel and as their cuisine was not to our liking we sought a local alternative. We were both extremely impressed with the quality and price of the food served at the Coach & Horses. We arrived about 6pm on a Saturday evening and were shown to a table. My husband had... More
