Hi Susansh47 Thanks for posting your lovely review. However, I am not sure where you have heard that The Black Horse is under new management which is untrue. I, and my family have owned it for 20 years and intend to run it for many...More

Went to the Black Horse for my wife’s birthday on Saturday as her favourite restaurant in the area. It was very busy and on the Christmas menu only. There was 11 of us and it would be a challenge for a table that big. However...More

Hi Knowwhat Sorry to hear that your meal felt rushed. I do know that last Saturday was especially busy with Christmas parties and it is a military operation in the kitchen to get the food out on time. However, we would have been happy to...More

Description
The Black Horse is a family owned Inn with character and style set in a small hamlet in Bedfordshire. The Black Horse was built in the 17th Century, and although it has been updated and given a contempory style, it still holds its charm and character. With it's exposed original beams, inglenook fireplace and low ceilings, the bar is warm and welcoming - perfect for relaxing with a drink or a glass of wine. The restaurant consists of two distinct dining areas each offering their own unique style and atmosphere with either garden or courtyard outlooks. Our seasonally changed menu's use only the freshest ingredients sourced locally (where possible). The dishes are expertly prepared and presented by a team of highly qualified chef's.
