Hello shazkett Apologies that you had a disappointing evening with us. I believe that the questions you are referring to were about allergens. It is important that we inform our customers about this, especially in view of the deaths recently reported in the press about...More

no question the food is very good but the décor seemed confused trying to mix old with new and an unwelcoming stroppy looking basil fawlty head waiter strutting around all evening. Smell of sewage in car park did not help eitherMore

Looked up gluten free places to eat, perfect, whole menu devoted to g/f! Brilliant service, very friendly staff, and well worth a visit. Advise booking as looks to be very popular even at lunchtimes!

Visited for a family birthday celebration at the weekend and disappointed by the dull menu and poor quality of food. We’re accustomed to a delicious experience at the Black Horse, but in common with most of the other guests, we’ve had tastier microwave meals.More

Description
The Black Horse is a family owned Inn with character and style set in a small hamlet in Bedfordshire. The Black Horse was built in the 17th Century, and although it has been updated and given a contempory style, it still holds its charm and character. With it's exposed original beams, inglenook fireplace and low ceilings, the bar is warm and welcoming - perfect for relaxing with a drink or a glass of wine. The restaurant consists of two distinct dining areas each offering their own unique style and atmosphere with either garden or courtyard outlooks. Our seasonally changed menu's use only the freshest ingredients sourced locally (where possible). The dishes are expertly prepared and presented by a team of highly qualified chef's.
