Went here on our last night in Orient Bay so had much to compare Le P'tit to. I ordered the fish soup and beef cheeks with cepes and hubby had a caesar salad and the beef bourguignon. Both mains came with sides of mashed potatoes. The fish soup was very tasty although some might say a bit fishy but the aioli it was served with cut that beautifully. The beef cheeks were fabulous. Hubby's caesar was very good and he said the beef was better than mine. We were way too full for dessert. Total cost with a glass each of Pinot Noir and a bottle of still water was $88eur.

My wife and I recently spent a week in Orient Bay, St Martin, and we had the pleasure of staying within walking distance from Le P'tit Bistro. On the night we arrived, we were seated in their beautiful and romantic outside patio (which is good for COVID guidelines). The manager and the owner were extremely friendly and helpful, and they offered recommendations for wine and food. I don't remember the name of the wine we ordered, but it was a delicious Bordeaux and also fairly inexpensive. For our starter, we tried their famous "Oeuf Cocotte" with truffle and chanterelle mushrooms. We weren't sure what to expect, but it was a soft egg in a bowl with a mushroom and truffle broth. And, you dip pieces of toast in it. Damn, it was one of the most delicious treats I have ever had. For our entrees, we had their Beef Bourguignon and Risotto with truffles and ham. Once again, my wife and I were completely blown away by these tasty and unique dishes. The bourguignon was perfectly tender and served with creamy mashed potatoes and the risotto was absolutely incredible. My wife, who doesn't really like ham, was obsessed with this risotto. For dessert, we went with the lava cake, and while it was good, it didn't live up to all of the other fantastic food. We were additionally given a couple of complimentary shots of their homemade rum. Overall, this was one of the best meals I have ever had and the owner and staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home.

Some restaurants just have a warmth and comfortable feel when you enter. Le P’tit Bistro is that place for us. The food is always great and service makes you want to stay. Last night we choose a few unique items including razor clams, fish soup (hard to find on the island) and a creamy risotto (with pasta) with porcini mushrooms and Parma plus a couple other apps. Really nice dishes. Loved to see an old friend Vince working there with Aurore who took care of us last night. Thx....

We were able to get a table for 4 without a reservation on a Wednesday night 7 pm. The beef cheeks which were advertised as being in a blanquette sauce seemed to be served in a more brown sauce stew-like preparation. Not what we expected. But the rest of the meals were great - including the foie gras and the duck breast. The wine selection was very good.

We ate here twice, on our second night and again on Christmas eve. The "patron" is its biggest asset. He works hard, has a good attitude, and a phenomenal memory. The food doesn't always come up to scratch, unfortunately, and some of the staff don't do him justice. For our first meal we had an excellent boeuf bourgignon and a pot au feu. The latter's broth and veg were quite divine and, fortunately, enough to satisfy me, as the meat was a tough as old boots. We were surprised that no entertainment was provided on Christmas Eve. We'd expected it to be somewhat special, as it was when we lived in France, but it was "same old". We weren't shown a specials board; instead, the waitress reeled them off so we had no prices etc. Our starters were moules marinières and soupe à l'oignon. What I wasn't expecting was a main-dish portion of moules! Both dear and far too much, but at least partly my fault. The soup was gross and had to be left. It just reeked of rosemary. We followed up with a daube de sanglier each, which was very good.

We loved our dinner at Le P’tit Bistro. Starting with some amazing olives with cocktails. Next I had fresh local catch tuna with lemon butter which was grilled to perfection. Honestly the best I’ve ever had. The service was fantastic as well. Great ambiance made for a perfect evening.

We visited here in February 2020 for dinner. We were staying with our 12 and 13 year old boys and left them at home in the apartment down the street to have an adult dinner. this place did not disappoint. We had yummy appetizers of escargot and baked Camembert, followed by sea delicious bass. It was really. yummy. good. The wine was lovely as well. The servers were attentive and friendly and ended our meal with complementary shots of rum. Definitely give this place a try!

We enjoyed pre-dinner drinks at beautiful La Favela bar and then had a wonderful dinner at Le P’tit Bistro. Excellent onion soup and langoustines and scallops beautifully presented on a huge fish-shaped platter with lobster bisque. My husband had delicious chicken in flakes pastry with the smoothest mashed potato ever. This village square of restaurants has a lovely ambiance.

Quality does not match reviews. The people were fantastic and very helpful if slightly inattentive and overwhelmed with too few servers for tables. Overall the food varied from good to not so good. The duck liver pate was outstanding but that really was where good stopped and rest of food three star at best and the most mediocre of all the restaurants in the area of which we tried most. The beef Bourgogne was small, salty and had no vegetables with meat semi tender. Overall, just not a great dish. The shrimp scampi was simply awful! No other way to describe it. Says made with shrimp heads and, in all fairness we were warned, so very fishy tasting. However, it was so salty as to be inedible. THE saltiest and single worst dish we have had since arriving. We shared this feedback and the owner seemed disinterested and made no comment so this says a lot. This is similar priced to other restaurants in the area and at far, far less quality of product and preparation. Much better options.

There are many restaurants to choose from in Orient Bay, and we were so glad to have selected Le P’Tit Bistro. The owners and staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. They made several recommendations on the menu, which we followed, and everything was unique, well prepared, and absolutely delicious. We adored the black salmon, as well as the daily specials, including a magnificent mushroom soup and a tuna with Indian spices. The chef’s preparations were all well thought-out and thoroughly enjoyable. This is a spot not to be missed, for the great food and wonderful hospital it.

This was the first restaurant in the Orient Bay Village that we tried. Service was very friendly and helpful. They have both a regular menu and a board with nightly specials. My wife and I split a large Caesar salad which was very fresh and good. I had the frog leg special. It was delicious. I would not hesitate to order that again. My wife had the mussels and frites. It was ok, but she said she has had better. With good wine and good beer it was a very good experience overall. Credit cards are accepted for the meal. But they ask for any tips to be in cash. We were told that, unlike the Dutch side, a charge for service was not permitted on the bill on the French side.

Don’t miss this spot if you are traveling to Orient Bay, It was a windy evening and they accommodated a table shift for us to enjoy our dinner. Both my wife and I had the Black Salmon - it was delicious. Food and service - all was excellent. We plan to return next year!

We ate here in Feb 2022. Husband, myself, and daughter 4 years old. The setting is lovely. We asked for a table inside. Husband had duck confit Parmentier. I had the goat cheese and honey glazed smoked duck breast salad. Daughter had seared buttery chicken tenders with mash. We had a bottle of Crozes Hermitage (a Northern Rhone red). Nutella tiramisu and chocolate ice cream for dessert. Everything was fantastic. Service was prompt but not rushed. We had a lovely experience and will be back.

Orient Bay has lots of lovely restaurants in a cobble stone area: If you'd like to graze having apps at one, a main meal at another, and dessert and/or after dinner drink at yet another – very close together and easy to manage. We had our main meal @Le P'tit Bistro. FABULOUS outdoor dinning, great waiter, atmosphere/food, then a lovely beach walk. You cannot go wrong at Orient Bay or Le P'tit Bistro a Must visit in our opinion!

Le P'tit Bistro in Orient Bay is a jewel among the many French restaurants on the island. We discovered this treasure on our third night of a five-night vacation on St. Martin and returned for our last two nights. Husband and wife owners Jerome and Manon have created an extraordinary restaurant. The food is outstanding and beautifully presented. I had three different fish dishes - trigger fish, snapper and seafood stew. Each had distinctly different preparations and all were exquisite. My wife, who does not eat seafood, opted for the ribeye steak each night. The preparation was perfect each time and the steaks were tender and delicious. The wine list is extensive, and the desserts are delicious. The service is outstanding. Jerome, Manon and our server Batiste were very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. They were like old friends by the third night. Jerome and Manon's attention to detail make Le P'tit Bistro a wonderful dining experience. It starts with the complimentary olives and ends with complimentary shots of rum, passionfruit and vanilla. Even bringing the check to the table is made special - in a small wooden Cuban cigar box. They think of everything. Surprisingly, the prices at this extraordinary restaurant are very competitive with their peers. Needless to say, we will return to Le P'tit Bistro on our next trip to St. Martin.
