Le Piment used to be the best place in Orient Bay. The new management means that the place is still very good and one of the best, but no longer the amazing place it used to be. Still it does have great food and good...service. We will surely return the next time we are in Orient Bay. We had a fine appetiser and a great lamb dish as a main course.More

Visited Le Piment for the first time this May on our yearly island trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals (veal chops for my husband, sea bass for myself). The staff were busy but attentive - the place was quite full, and there seemed to be...a number of folks coming in for take-out pizzas, etc. The only slight downside was a large group of US travelers (18-20 individuals) seated beside us and they were quite loud at times, as well as frequently throwing out derogatory comments here and there about the French/culture. The staff handled them deftly and pleasantly. Looking forward to going back to Le Piment - thinking about trying their pizza next time!More

Went to Sint Martin for a week’s holiday. On our second night we came across Le Piment and could easily have eaten there every single night of the holiday! The food is outstanding and the staff is friendly and very attentive to any need you...may have. You feel very welcome and walk away with a full belly and a smile on your face!More

For our first night on the island in 3 years, we headed back to Le Piment for our first dinner. There are a lot of choices in Orient and this used to be our favorite. We were promptly greeted and taken to our tables after...reviewing the specials. Initial service was prompt and attentive with them explaining the specials and answering questions. We chose a Caesar salad which is our standard appetizer and split it. It was very good and well balanced. The dressing was great and just enough was on the salad. For mains, we choose the Carbanara and slow braised beef cheek. The Carbanara was lacking some seasoning. The past was cooked perfectly but the ham/bacon wasn't very flavorful. The Beef cheeks remind me of a beef rib but a little fattier. The flavor was wonderful and the texture just took getting used to. My wife didn't like the texture but I ate it. I'll have to think hard if I will get Beef cheek again. Sugar crepe for dessert and off to bed. We found the restaurants in general compared to eating out in Chicago. $120ish with 2 drinks.More

Le Piment has a great extensive menu and the food is very good. Classic French cuisine with lots of other choices as well. Their au gratin potatoes are a favorite! Inside area is rather loud, so sit outside if you prefer quieter dining area.

We decided to get a pizza to go and were very pleased with the quality. We had a drink while we were waiting and noticed some very great looking food going to the tables around us. We will go for dinner for more than pizza...the next time we are on the island!!More

The food was very good (5 stars). However, the wine and service were rather average (3 stars), hence on average I gave it a 4-star rating. We asked for Pinot Grigio and apparently we got the "house" variety of the wine, which had a low...quality wine taste and was not a match to the food at all. The waiters were also distracted with people asking for a table, making us feel ignored at times.More

It was Saturday night and a bit late. All we wanted was a small pizza. The restaurant was busy. We were in a dark corner. We'd dined here several times before. We waited 20 minutes for water, then 20 minutes for a server. The people...next to us simply walked out. Too bad as it had always been a special place for us.More

We were here in Feb 2022, husband, myself, and daughter aged 4. We asked to be seated inside. We had an excellent meal. Bottle of Cotes du Rhone. Duck confit Parmentier for me. Beef filet with Reblochon cheese topping and divine potatoes for husband. Grilled...fish and mash for daughter. Chocolate banana crepes and a scoop of chocolate ice cream for dessert. Service was prompt but not rushed. Food was perfectly cooked, steak was the correct done-ness. Very nice experience. Will be back.More

This is a wonderful Italian or French style restaurant. You would have to call about the ham for the holidays...sounds like you are looking for more American food.
