Went for lunch. Disappointed the menu is still the same. And it seems standards have dropped. My lunch was burnt. Coffee's are served cold. Such a shame as it's a beautiful spot.

Met up with some colleagues in Ipswich and had no knowledge of the area , I asked one for a recommendation and he came up with Milsoms, what a great venue.. The service was very friendly and professional, it was a Wednesday lunchtime and the restaurant was full, this told me it was going to be good. Well it didn't... More
Long walk over gravel from car park to room with suitcase, suit, rucksack and shoes so couldn't tow case. No one at reception on arrival and didn't see sign asking me to dial 0. I was "upgraded" so through restaurant, down narrow steps and yet more gravel to what looked like converted stables. Bathroom floor had been mopped with greasy... More
Service was excellent, attentive without being over the top, staff were very helpful. Food was very well presented and very tasty, not too expensive. Atmosphere was lovely and restaurant has a unique feel about it. High chair was available. Beautiful setting and outside seating available for the warmer weather. Would definitely recommend dining here, perhaps for a special occasion.
Went with friends last week for Lunch, it has a very attractive setting. It is top end price although the Food was very good.£10 for a Prawn Cocktail!! even Vegetables are extra!! I think this is only suitable for special occasions.so will not rush back!!
As you can not book , we had to wait for a table . We were told it would be 45 minutes but it was actually 20. We were shown into a lounge area to wait which was very comfortable . After the short wait we were shown to our table and then proceeded to excellent service and extremely excellent... More
We stayed here over a weekend with friends, we enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The service was friendly and relaxed. The rooms were clean with a great view of the gardens. The breakfast choice was a little small but good quality. We would stay here again and definitely recommend.
Food not to standard for the price. I went in onSaturday and was impressed by a young lady serving on her first shift. However middle age management useless and walk round with miserable faces. I wouldn't go back again.
A spontaneous trip to Milsoms for a school night dinner out with the children. Not our first trip but we particularly enjoyed this visit. The restaurant was quiet on arrival with only 4-5 tables occupied. We enjoyed our food and had excellent service. The sticky toffee pudding and treacle tart were to die for! Can't wait to go back when... More
Having visited Milsoms on many occasions I have never been disappointed with the food, service or atmosphere. Delightful setting in which you can sit, eat the watch the children running around on the grass playing with the wide selection of rugby and footballs on offer....this is such a great idea. Food is always hot and if you wish to sit... More
