This is what you hope for, a lot of old white paint, a place that has been assembled over time, a menu that takes it up a notch, and food that does not disappoint. We were staying nearby at the Twelve, and this seemed a world away, although it was a 5 minute walk. Easy to get to, easy to... More

Had lunch mid july on a sunny day on the terrace. Had open crab sandwich, nicely dressed and presented. The most important part of any meal is the bread, the first thing you eat has to be right, and the bread at O'Grady's was so lovely we had to ask for more! Waiter was friendly as was manager on payment.... More

This place is great. Brilliant seafood, few meat courses e.g. steak, but really only go there if you like seafood! Staff are so friendly. Service is good, not too fast to rush you out of the place. There's 2 floors, but it looks small & cosy downstairs. We got mussels, sea bass, hake - we eat a lot of seafood... More

We visited O'Gradys on the pier last night. We had booked an early table (6.30) as we had our 3 year old with us, having had to assure them it would be back by 9.00. Firstly the food is average to good for Irish seafood. The starter of chowder was good but the special of silver hake was over cooked... More

My wife and I were in Galway last week and went to O'Grady's on the Pier on both nights we were there. The food and service were excellent. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food. We ate fish on both occasions and we were extremely satisfied

Just back from O'Grady's. It does not look that great from the outside on a dull day but please do venture inside. It's worth it. We had scallops as a starter and the whole sole for main. Both were excellent. The sole was lightly breaded with Parmesan and was the best that we've had in a long time. The place... More

Lovely food, so fresh and heaps of choice and flavour. Gorgeous. Huge variety of seafood. Shame it is done in "sittings" (7:00pm or 9:00pm). Staff a tad on the curt / brusque side which is unusual for Ireland!! Efficient though.

Found the restaurant by chance at lunchtime. Enjoyed oysters, lobster and mussels. Food, service and atmosphere so good we returned for dinner and weren't disappointed! The black sole and hake were very fresh and cooked to perfection.

I and my husband went to this restaurant in June 2012 for the first time and had a great meal there so we decided to go back for our dinner when we visited Galway. We went there on Saturday night the restaurant was busy. The staffs were friendly and the foods were yummy. The seafood was really fresh. we ordered... More

The best seafood restaurant in Ireland, FACT! Had the fish hake absolutely Devine, the hostess Mags was great as were all the Staff, a true gem in Galway.
