Our first visit to this restaurant and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The venue is modern , light and airy and has suitable noise baffles on the walls. There are many tables but placed suitably apart to preserve confidentiality. This venue was very popular and bookings are recommended. The menu is a delight with options to tantalise every palate. For a Saturday dinner, the options you could select were the Saturday set menu of three courses for $61.90 or the full a la carte menu. We were advised of both entree and main specials. We elected the Saturday set menu which represented, to us, very good value. We started with fresh whole meal bread and dips . Then we selected the garlic and chilli tiger prawns and the calamari fritti as entrees. The presentation of the entrees were a delight. Our main courses were the special of the slow cooked lamb, which was a good serving and was so tender. The other choice was also a special in a combination of the house signature dishes of the slow cooked lamb and the twice baked crispy duck. Excellent. To accompany the mains we chose a side dish of vegetables. The menu desert was the duo of pannacotta and chocolate tarte. A nice contrast of flavours. The beverage list is adequate without being overly large and confusing . We selected a Peroni Beer and a bootle of the Pemberton Chardonnay. The service was of a very high standard and could not be faulted, from the welcoming to the ordering of a taxi. We were particularly interested in the comments of our wait person who was obviously very happy in working in a family business with standards which she was proud of. In summary, true Italian Fine Dining and a wonderful experience fo us. Certainly recommended.

This was our third visit since finding this place by accident 6 weeks ago. Can’t believe we hadn’t heard about it through the grapevine. If you haven’t tried it yet we would highly recommend you do. Food and service is first class and if you go on Tues to Thurs you can take your own wine for a corkage fee of $10. If you enjoy great fine dining at reasonable prices, give it a try you won’t be disappointed. 👌🏻

Set in the stunning suburb of Floreat, Prego is more than one hopes for and is worthy of a hat. Visiting from Sydney we were blown away by this hidden gem. From the warmth of the welcome, each staff member has been invested in with training and displays great flair. The menu selection and specials compliment each other and the value for money is well noted. No expense is spared. The additional courses served around the entree and main were in turn piquant and cleansing. Each course is well balanced and generous. The vegetable accompaniments delicious and well prepared. Our final selection of desserts to share were lightness itself and again the kitchen sent extra which was generously given. Lovely to see starched white table cloths and the panels of fabric on the walls were perfect for softening the conversation of all the lucky diners. Gorgeous Street outlook, wonderful hosts Olga and chef Joseph gave us a night to remember. With thanks Jacqueline and Brett

Ronco Group has held a Christmas dinner for its staff for the past 6 years at Vila D'Est. Sadly they closed at the end of December 2018. It was suggested that we try Prego. The choice was made at the first siting. We took our staff and partners there for Christmas dinner (20/12/19). Made the booking 3 months in advance with a tailored menu to suit our staff and budget. The service was impeccable (Anna being the shining star) and Joe & Olga the owners added additional tasters along the way for no extra charge. We had 40 to sit down and it was exceptional. We will be booking again for 2020. At the request of our staff.

Not as expected, my partner and I love Italian food. This was a major disappointment. I cannot fault the service they were very welcoming and attentive throughout our meal, however the food was what felt like an Indian/Italian mix.. weird. The amuse-bouche was a falafel - not an Italian flavour or dish. I chose the Morton bay bug entree with octopus only to be advised they had no bugs, no problem, i could choose between prawns or scallops, I chose the scallops. They were delicious, however the octopus was embarrassing, the dish served two pieces of octopus about 1cm square, they shouldn’t have bothered. I was so embarrassed for them. My partner ordered the duck and was convinced to have duck & lamb together, weird again, but he agreed, he thoroughly enjoyed it but that’s a strange thing to do. There was no offer of a limoncello after our meal, which usually in our experience is on the house, Italian restaurants do in Italy. I feel sad that I have not found another Italian restaurant to love and appreciate, but I won’t be going back to this one. I’d say give the place a go, but don’t hold high expectations of ‘authentic Italian’.

This was our second visit to Prego, and it was definitely just as good as the first! This time, we visited on a Saturday, so we opted for the three course set menu. Prawns and duck for me, calamari and steak for my partner, duo of desserts for both, with the three specially paired wines for each course. Everything was delicious, and the wines went down beautifully. The set menu is really good value for money. The staff are exceptional. Every single staff member that served us (including the manager and the head chef) were warm, friendly and professional. We couldn't fault the service at all. I would heartily recommend Prego for a special occasion to anyone!

Our second visit in four months, this time as a party of 6 to celebrate child #2 birthday. We had looked on line prior to the visit as one of our party is vegan and an email to to the restaurant about choices was met with a swift response. Our table was ready on arrival and the restaurant was again very busy, tables are a little tight together, but the noise level gave a gentle 'buzz' to the atmosphere and didn't hinder any table conversation. The wait staff inform you that if you have the degustation that all on the table would need to order this. What is nice about Prego is that they also offer both a vegetarian and vegan degustation menu in addition to the meat lovers one. We ate at a leisurely pace and the food wasn't disappointing, the bruschetta was a perfect start and the prawns and tortellini dishes flavoursome. The beef (ordered by the males in the party) was cooked as ordered and "delicious". The vegan menu was really enjoyed with the spaghetti dish in particular being a hit. The service was warm, friendly and unobtrusive - We will undoubtedly be back to try some of the a la carte items on the menu.

Chef's hats off to Joseph the man pictured in the centre below - the owner and chef, please don't change anything it was impeccable! This must be my fourth visit in 18 months, we will be back again soon.

Anniversary meal for just the two of us, Prago was recommended by our daughter who has visited twice and loves the place. Booking on line was easy and the booking was confirmed and we got a reminder text to confirm the day before. The restaurant was very busy and had two large tables of diners which the waitress said made it a little noisier than usual. The service was excellent, the staff, warm, friendly and professional and added to our overall very positive dining experience. The food was fantastic, We opted for the set menu and matching wines which were both reasonably priced. I did pay $5 extra for the fish of the day which was Red Emperor and was cooked beautifully. The goats cheese mushroom was delicious and the duck was perfectly cooked according to my husband with the crispy skin being raved about. The dishes were beautifully presented and rounded off with a lovely duo of desserts. We'll certainly put Prago on our list of places to go back to.

Had to wait to make this posting as they will not let you post on the same establishment twice without a break……….Sorry to say we left Perth last night after travelling around WA. We discovered Prego just after arriving in Perth on our second night, so glad we did, the food was to die for, had to go back before we left, had a problem booking a table for the Saturday night, fully booked when we tried, as to be expected, our only hope was to visit on the way to the airport on the night we were leaving Perth. Well, again we were not disappointed, it was just as good as our first visit. I constantly travel the world and eat in top class restaurants all the time, Prego is defernatly in my top ten and very high on that list. Well done, you have a fantastic restaurant, just wish it was not on the other side of the world. One day I will return for sure.

Prego’s is always our favourite choice for special occasions. The food, wines, service, and ambiance is superb. The menu may not be hugely extensive, but every dish is a winner. My favourite has always been the signature crispy duck. The staff are friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable about the menu, and it is always nice that the owner and master chief Jo takes the time to talk to his guests during the evening. We generally go for dinner, but I can also highly recommend mid-week lunch. It is the perfect venue to get together with friends over a leisurely lunch and the Degustation Menu, which is always well put together.

Made a booking to dine at this restaurant, arrived 10min early and was prepared to wait as they were busy. Presented to the manager and she said she could not find my booking even though I booked online and called to confirm... 20min in and my husband and I were told to sit outside...the couple that arrived after us were seated indoors.. I am not sure if this was due to colour discrimination or not but I did not appreciate the service I received.. thankfully I managed to get a last minute booking at Friends restaurant in the CBD which was amazing!!

Our group of six enjoyed an outstanding meal at Prego this week. The food was fresh, flavours delicious and the staff were attentive and friendly. The scallops were some of the best I have ever eaten - and I have eaten plenty! We will definitely be back.

Great ambience, prompt and attentive service, extensive wine list and great food. We had the Degustation lunch and found each course well presented and delicious. Because of some dietary issues we have the chef was very accommodating and took care of our needs. In fact, it was so good we've booked to go there next week to check out other parts of the menu !

We went the other week and it definitely wasn't as good as previously. Although still enjoyable it just feels a bit stuck. Portions were definitely smaller than we remembered and we didn't have the set menu. Also crossing out prices on the actual menu and then marking them up by $10 or in a couple of cases marking them down - looks average, the restaurant It is really not so large that reprinting new menus would cost a fortune. It's not really Italian but more just modern food, and a bit of a mish mash. If you look at the web site - it says it all - it's the most convoluted mass of words I've seen anywhere .The room is quite dated I wonder if the owners ever check out other restaurants? I feel the whole place seems as if it's somewhere you'd take the grandparents for a celebration. The fabric panels on the walls in lieu of actual art work, are Indian restaurants 2000 and the large totally bare windows looking out at nothing other than Cambridge Street are very bleak in the winter months. The staff however are lovely, although the owner is a bit brisk and I feel it could be her way or the highway and genuine feedback from customers would be ignored
