We had a dinner to celebrate anniversary at Prego. All three courses were absolutely divine. The entree of scallops and squid was fresh and divine. This followed by main course of wagyu stock and lamb shoulder with wood fire roasted veggies and potato chips. The...steak was beautifully cooked to medium rare as ordered and lamb shoulder cooked to perfection. All complemented with exceptional wine. We wrapped dinner with divine desert. My husband ordered knafe hand I had apple tart with light and fluffy panacotta. What a treat. We had an amazing time and the service was exceptional. Thank you Prego, we will definitely be back for amazing food and exceptional service.More

We went to Prego with my husband to celebrate our anniversary. The food is very nice, the duck skin is crispy and the meat is juicy . And the lamb is out of expectation, soft like a butter! We enjoyed our night there.

We went the other week and it definitely wasn't as good as previously. Although still enjoyable it just feels a bit stuck. Portions were definitely smaller than we remembered and we didn't have the set menu. Also crossing out prices on the actual menu and...then marking them up by $10 or in a couple of cases marking them down - looks average, the restaurant It is really not so large that reprinting new menus would cost a fortune. It's not really Italian but more just modern food, and a bit of a mish mash. If you look at the web site - it says it all - it's the most convoluted mass of words I've seen anywhere .The room is quite dated I wonder if the owners ever check out other restaurants? I feel the whole place seems as if it's somewhere you'd take the grandparents for a celebration. The fabric panels on the walls in lieu of actual art work, are Indian restaurants 2000 and the large totally bare windows looking out at nothing other than Cambridge Street are very bleak in the winter months. The staff however are lovely, although the owner is a bit brisk and I feel it could be her way or the highway and genuine feedback from customers would be ignoredMore

I was invited for a Christmas celebration last week and it was my first time at Prego! I don’t know how I’ve never heard of this place but it’s amazing! When we entered, we were welcomed with a warm smile. The service was attentive but...unobtrusive. For entree I had the scallops which melted in my mouth. Then I had the duck while my partner had the lamb shoulder and both were divine. I’ll definitely be coming back!More

My wife and I dined at Prego due to their Tripadvisor reviews but were very disappointed by the underwhelming food. I ordered the 6 hour slow roasted suckling pig, which was chewy rather than melt in your mouth tender. It was under seasoned and the...tomato salsa was too astringent and clashed. The skin was chewy and unappetising. My wife ordered their famous Crispy Duck which was uninspired. This very average meal was topped off when the mangeress informed me AFTER I had tapped my phone to pay that there was a 1.6% surcharge for AMEX and proceeded to charge me the additional $2.00. REALLY !!More
