Dirk, Caelen and the wonderful team at Fonty's as its affectionately known by Balnarring Beach locals, serves up pizza that you write home to your Italian friends and family. And if you are a coeliac, and to complicate things even further, a coeliac vegan, you...are in for a treat of a lifetime. This is hands-down the best coeliac pizza that we have ever eaten. I share it with my partner and I'm not a coeliac. That's a big ask for any pizza-loving aficionado. Of course, the genuine thing is another level. Keep it simple - tomato, olives and oregano and I'm in heaven. May Fonty's live on forever ! :)More
Two of us ordered pizzas. Not our favourite food and we normally avoid it but power outages resulted in our needing something fast and local and these pizzas filled the bill brilliantly. Flavoursome generous toppings on great base with friendly staff. Might be worth ordering...in advance, very popular and there can be a modest waiting time but it is worth it!More
We were staying at Chatsworth Park for two nights. We'd had Bastille Day dinner at Le Bouchon the night before and lunch at Hastings' Marina Restaurant so we weren't looking for a big meal that night. With the 5th lockdown having been announced late afternoon,...the locals were out in force and the place was busy. Service was still okay. We decided to share the Mamma Mia and Carne pizzas and both were good. Sparkly water, a Moretti beer and a bottle of Vanita Nero D'Avola accompanied the meal. The place was fairly noisy and there was nothing to keep us there so we were out in an hour. Shortest meal we've had for ages.More
Absolutely impeccable service and amazing food! If you’re in Balnarring get your tuchus to fontalina!
Yum! Easy place to go for dinner or takeaway for genuine wood fired pizzas and friendly staff. Both inside and outside spaces available.
For simple casual dining with some of the best pizza you’ll find this side of Naples, then Fonty’s -as its affectionately known by the locals- is the place to go. Caelin, our regular waiter is quick with the Peronis and Aperol Spritz and the smiles...and knows our order by heart. This is the only gluten free pizza my partner will ever share with me so the whole family dives in with a selection of gluten free bases and vegan toppings. Dirk, the owner is always on hand keeping the drinks and the hospitality coming. All in all, unfussy perfect pizza with the best service around.More
We returned today , just my wife and I and had a great meal of two divine pizzas and a couple of soft drinks. The food was wonderful and such great value considering the quality of the toppings. They had all pizzas for $15 each...so the bill with the drinks was just over $40. Lovely service from the young girl here as well.More
we eat here a lot and the food is always great - pizzas are yummy , fish is very good , pasta good , chicken wings yummy , tiramisu excellent and good selection of wine and at good prices
Great food and service from this little Trattoria. They have perfected their pizzas and menu and it has evolved into a nice assortment of dishes. This is not relly a place for a quiet intimate dinner for two as it gets quite loud and it...does not pretend to be. This is a great meeting place for family and friends to catch up. You can eat it and beat it or stay for coffee and desert. Tiramasu is delicious. The only critcism is, i think the wines are expensive but they are all over the Peninsula wherever you eat. You must try Fontalina if down for a night or more.More
