Best coffee in Tokyo and good value. Friendly service, English speaking. Would definitely recommend it if in the area.

We had lunch at Kabaya, a wooden coffeehouse dating from before the war. Excellent food and great coffee, nice atmosphere and I can recommend a detour coming here.

Located 10 minutes away from Ueno park and a dense crowd of tourists, this coffee cafe cum restaurant is in a quieter neighbourhood of Tokyo with older houses and cars setting a different ambience. The daily lunch sets are 1000-1100 Yen and include sandwiches or...More

What a quaint little coffee shop! Coffee is wonderful, toasted bread and butter also is a must. We did not wait too long for a table and after a long walk at the UENO park- the coffee and cakes- a welcome respite. ❤❤

One of the oldest restaurants in the area. Fresh vegetables with pickles, miso soup, Japanese pinchos, an eating experience which is worth the effort.

Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old
Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa.
Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit
a variety of different museums and galleries. At
Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the
grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed
alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at
the end of the year, when many people go on shopping
