I've been here several times during my staying in Tokyo for business. I had always business dinners. The place is really nice, traditional but with modern flair. Nice and professional service with all ladies well prepared and waring Kimonos. The specialty here is shabu-shabu. I came here about 10 times and every time I was really satisfied. Good value for... This shabu-shabu and sukiyaki restaurant was hands-down the best place I have ever eaten shabu-shabu. My boyfriend and I had tried the shabu-shabu here on a date, buying the lowest quality wagyu beef they had. We bought extra meat too, as the meat originally provided is not found to be enough. The meat was so tender and delicious by itself,... More

Had dinner here the week of 10-9-16, in Shinjuku. Food was overpriced and staff wasn't the most friendlinest--have had better. It was an expensive dinner. To preserve our cash, I decided to use one of my credit cards. The transaction went thru with no problems and billed to my account. I used this card only once at this restaurant in... More

The restaurant is not easy to find even with mobile map as you have to take an elevator by the side of the shop on ground floor to reach the restaurant. We didn't have any reservation but was early enough to get a table (need to finish our dinner within 2hrs which was acceptable to us). We had the sukiyaki... More

The location is a bit hard to find. We are very lucky with the help from some oversea students to find it at the end. Even better we get in without any reservation. The restaurant is decorated very well traditionally. They do offer a very extensive menu and you can choose the set or a la carte menu. We choose... More

I loved this restaurant. From the decor to service to the food, everything was perfect. There is a range of prices for the quality of meat you can order - since this was a splurge I ordered the matsuzaka beef - the highest quality and the marbling was beautiful! I think it was around 11,000 yen, and worth every penny.... More

Traditional japanese restaurant, the waitresses wear traditional clothing and cook the food for you at your table. Fun to visit!

Very nice restaurant, very clean, and I love the fact the waitress wears kimono, very good service. The sukiyaki was very good. This is a place I would go back.

There should be an award given for finding this place, but follow what others have written here and look for the New Fuji Building and take the lift to 5F. Very private booth style dining, sensible prices considering the quality of the food. We started to struggle with the order of things but they very gently take over and basically... More

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
