I ended up coming to this restaurant 4 times, lunch and dinner. It was very good each time. Once I ate at the similar conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Akihabara, yes it was cheaper than Numazuko but a difference in quality was quite apparent. Sushi at Numazuko are of the very high quality indeed, and I was willing to pay... More

Delicious conveyor belt sushi that offers a fresh and diverse selection, all at a decent price. You don't have to wait for your selections and can order directly from the chef. Unfortunately the specials are written in Japanese on the wall, like most sushi places, so you might have to ask the readily available servers. Turnover is pretty quick so... More

We really did not like this place. Nothing particularly bad happened during our visit. It was just the most expensive conveyor belt sushi we had on our trip and also the worst quality. The belt was not even half full even though there was a wait to get a seat. The items that were on the belt looked really bad... More

The cheaper dishes here (the ones you take directly from the conveyor belt) aren't very good - they taste like they came from a convenience store, though to be fair they are not much more expensive than at a convenience store. The pricier dishes (you order them fresh by taking the sign from the conveyor belt and holding it up... More

Went for dinner with my family expecting a decent meal and was severely disappointed. The few plates of sushi I had were not fresh and definitely not worth the wait. The prices available here are comparable to the prices at a conveyor belt restaurant in Tsukiji Market itself, where you can be assured of the quality of the food. Menu... More

Came at dinner time with the family so we had expected to wait. Ended up waiting 40 minutes and so I sure was hoping that the food matched the hype. It didn't. The sushi was below average and certainly wasn't worth waiting any amount of time for, nor was it as cheap as it was made out to be. There... More

The sad thing about Numazuko is that the tourists who comprise the majority of the diners are there in search of genuine Japanese culture, and while it is true that conveyer belt sushi originated in Japan, there is nothing to distinguish this place from any "sushi train" restaurant anywhere in the world. The sushi and rice dishes are reasonably priced,... More

This was my last meal in Japan and I loved it. I came in just at opening and was sat immediately. English menu is available, and as many reviewers have noted the items on the train itself can be limited and you'll just order anything you want from the menu. This was super easy, just a quick "sumimasen" followed by... More

I am not that much into sushi, but this experience at this place is absolutely to recommend. Fresh, tasty and simple when it is best. The prices are good and the quality in top. Go there.

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
