We were 4 couple and sat in the private dining. 4 of us ordered the set meal, 3 a-la-carte and 1 was a Vegetarian (special request). Right from the time I made the reservation to the time we left (they got taxis for us 🙄),...More

Met up for lunch here with some old friends. We had our own room for Tempanyaki, and all of the food, even the sashimi starter, was amazingly good. Our Chef, Machida-San cooked everything to absolute perfection. The children's burgers were also delicious. For desert, we...More

Can be a bit intimidating at first with the decor and the limited English spoken, but all worries melt away when the food starts to be prepared and is tasted. Would detail fusion of classic French cooling methods with the freshness and quality of Japanese...More

There are some restaurants where 300USD a head is just not worth it. And then there are places like Ukaitei. I love both the Ginza and the Omotesando location, but like Omotesando a bit more because of the rooftop. The food is SO good. The...More

USD300 per pax for a dinner with no dessert nor alcohol is fine if the meal is excellent in all respects. I've had way better kobe beef in osaka/kyoto, the abalone for me was overpowered by the butter sauce and the sole fish had too...More

The atmosphere at Omotesando Ukaitei is very formal in premises right next to the Dior building in the main street of Omotesando. You enter a high-ceilinged space, glass on two sides, with chefs standing, almost at attention, behind a semi-circular gleaming teppanyaki plate. Staff watch...More

Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the
Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops
that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest
areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's
Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to
recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh
yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast,
Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool.

It is kind of a posh place, so no t-shirt or shorts. Jeans and a shirt will do fine

We tried the restaurant at Ginza, very nice interiors and is on the ground level. We had the set menus which have goid beef and we felt the amount of food was just enough as it gives you room for dessert later. The desserts... More
