My 14yo niece and I wanted to try different styles of Japanese cuisine during our week in Tokyo. On the list was teppanyaki style where the chef prepares each course in front of you on a large, tabletop griddle. My only previous experience with teppanyaki was with the well-known worldwide chain that features chefs who flip knives, toss shrimp and... More

I had a dinner with my Tokyo team (a party of 24). From our private room we had a beautiful view to Tokyo Harbour Front skyline. The food (set dinner with 12 courses) was very good, the service polite, quick and flawless.

Nice Japanese breakfast in serene environment. Standard breakfast served, no choice available, but that is no problem at all.

If you want to try traditional japanese food, Sakura is the best choices. You can feel the japanese taste from the restaurant and all the staff is wearing kimono. The food is good taste unless the salmon a lil bit salty.

I went here for lunch with my wife while staying at Hotel Nikko, Tokyo. The place serves traditional japanese cuisine of high standard by woman in kimonos. The restaurant overlooks a lovely garden while you enjoy several small japanese dishes drinking warm sake wishing life could always be this perfect.

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
