We had a LONG layover and had to switch airports in Tokyo on our way back from Vietnam. Some friends picked us up and took us to eat at this amazing Udon restaurant in Tokyo. YUM!! I had Udon Curry dish with chicken. It melted in my mouth. I made a comment that this needs to come to NYC and... More

We went for lunch but in fact this place opens 24 hrs. Queue is long but acceptable. The udon which is the chewy type is nice and comes with a huge choice of sauce and ways of cooking the udon.I went for the creamy type sauce with scollops and prawns and fish roe. My wife went for the shabu shabu... More

Udon is fantastic. It was served with a huge bowl but do not be fooled, the portion is pretty standard. Food is fresh and modern, definitely not the normal foodfare you get in other Ramen stores in Japan. Had the luxury to try a dish of horse meat sashimi too! More chewy than beef. No distinctive smell until a few... More

Not far from Roppongi Station. They have a lot of options for udon bowls, and have Horse Sashimi if you want to try something unique. The horse Sashimi is worth ordering, but and is good value for 1980 yen. The restaurant itself is pretty busy, so expect to wait around 15-20 minutes. They have menus that you can look at... More

Very good udon restaurant down in Roppongi Hills. A huge selection of choices from the simplest bowl of udon through to curry, tempura and creamy sauce. Great to see all the chefs at work from where you sit. Service was good, with an English menu always useful!

What is your choice while or before you go to clubbing night in your country? Kebab? Fish n chips? I think for Japanese, it would be here! Tsurutontan, fusion udon(flower made noodles) restaurant placed right in middle of Roppongi! They usually have some lines, though you won't be left out so long and you'll see more Japanese are lining up... More

My Japanese friends took me to this place. This is the most special upon noodle restaurant I ever go. They offers a giant size udon noodles. We ordered the largest size for fun but we couldn't finish it. The horse sashimi was very delicious. I never know horse is such tasty! The service and seating was very nice. We had... More

Tsurutontan serves its food in supersize plates and bowls. The ohs and ahs when the food arrives continue when you take the first bite to the chewy udon. The broth is amazing and you can choose from a variety of toppings. I selected soft egg and pickled plum while my companions selected udon with tofu and green onion. The third... More
