We came at 9.45. They rushed us and brought all of the food at the same time. They served desert of ice cream with the main course which was frankly speaking utterly stupid and rude. We had to complain and request they take it away before all the iced cream Melted. I would not recommend here to anyone. Other restaurants... More

At the time of opening it was not possible to get a seat without reservation. Today, empty. The food is average and the ceiling LED which happened to be an attraction was not working because of technical problems. Interior design nice, but without guest too quiet for an Izakaya.

Food was passable. Not a great selection of sushi, but a wide variety of types of food from tempura, noodles, shellfish. They offer individual dining rooms, but I recommend sitting at the bar and watching the chefs. Probably the highlight of the meal. Not much English spoken here but the menus have photos. I would recommend the grilled scallops.

Visited this place in the evening and it was my third meal in Tokyo. Located in the heart of Shinagawa, this place serves amazing food and has great interiors. Had amazing Kirin beer followed by Japanese Rolled Omlette with Kujo Leek. The Pork Shabu-Shabu Salad is also worth it.

Went here with Japanese colleagues. I understand that this place is part of a chain but still felt authentic which was confirmed by my local colleagues. Food was in general nice, with the special of the day oyster selection being the absolute highlight. I was mildly disappointed with the tempura vegetables which were too greasy. Service was impeccable but hygiene... More

This was the fifth day of our stay in Tokyo. We were in the Shinagawa Prince locality. We landed at Tofuro Shinagawa for dinner. No regrets. There was some miscommunication on the food ordered. Everything was settled when 2 Mainland Chinese waitresses took over. We had steamed oysters, kaki fry (breaded fried oysters), tai no shioyaki (salt-grilled sea bream), chanko... More

This was our second meal in Tokyo on our first trip to Japan. So far we unfortunately have not developed a taste for Japanese food. Lots of raw fish is still a little too much. Raw fish to a certain extent is OK and may be delicious. At this meal we were given raw fish and shrimps along with some... More

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
