As always in Tokyo things change too quickly. Asterix was one of those great little finds. I have 10 years of memories eating there almost daily.

great good, large portions, amazing deserts in a compact basement tucked away in akasaka. lunch menu reasonably priced, dinner menu slightly more expensive friendly service with an eccentric cook which makes for interesting evening

The ¥1600, 3 course lunch was very good value. The taster plate of desserts was fun. Cute place, I will be going back

Traditional French in the heart of Akasaka, run-down but cozy and always reliable.

Food is fabulous, wine selection good, affordable evening course menu. And it's fun to sit at the counter and watch the grouchy older chef boss his assistant around! It might be hard to spot since it's a cozy basement location in Akasaka (but maybe nearer to Nogizaka station) but check out the Bento dot com review, it has a picture... More
