The fact that there are only two "simple" options for pizza tells you what you need to know. We tried both and were astonished. Having easier access to pizzas in Europe, we did not expect this to be so much better than most pizzas in Italy. Very tasty. The house wine complements it perfectly. A must, if you like pizza.... After nearly two weeks in Asia we had a craving for Pizza. Seirinkan really hit the spot. This is simple restaurant that served only two types of Napoli- style pizza. There were two of us and we ordered two pizzas, salad, and prosciutto. If you like this style of pizza you will find that the authenticity and quality were excellent.... More

The Margherita Pizza (about 12 bucks) was excellent. The Puttanesca, ok but over-salted (and I like salt). The ambiance: average, attempts at sophistication, with velvety curtains here and there, a classic music backdrop, but essentially no frills. There are 4 floors connected by a spiral wrought iron staircase paper table napkins, reusable fork and knife. On our floor, 4 tiny... More

Story is that the chef of Seirinkan, Kakinuma-san, became obsessed with pizza when he visited Napoli. When back in Tokyo, he decided to perfect his own recipe. And yes he did. He only serves two types of pizza, Margherita and Marinara, so you will have no stress of choice. Just order them both and share. Best pizza ever!

Excellent pizza. Was very happy to find this place. Staff was very kind. Had Coke Zero so I was happy. The sign to the restaurant is not big so I had to ask someone in the neighborhood where it was. Would go again!

We've heard great things about this place and showed up one night during the Meguro River Sakura Festival without reservation and was given bar table with only 1 hour of time. Good enough, as we were there only for light dinner. The pizza was delicious, though the dough was saltier and the olive oil drizzle more generous than other Napoletana... More

For these years there are so many Italian restaurants open in Tokyo. Some are by Italian chefs, so level of foods are getting up and up. Many of people in Tokyo (central) are so spoiled for Italian food. Pizza or pasta which can take "average" level in other city cannot satisfy these spoiled ppl. Then Seirinkan(聖林館). Very simple. But tastes... More

After days of eating mind blowing ramen, we figured that all Japanese chefs were Gods among men. Noticing many Italian restaurants around Tokyo, we figured that there are probably some boss pizzaioli somewhere and that's how we found this place. The hype is on point. The main dude there is the only one that makes the pizzas, each of them... More

Located in a little alley off the Nakameguro High Street is Seirinkan, a Trendy little Bistro. Their wrong iron facade and interiors surely give it an early 20th century industrial theme. This is complemented by possibly one of the best margherita pizzas and great wines. Its quite an ideal spot for a warm and close gathering or even a lazy... More
