Luckly, we only queued up for 20 mins, but usually It is more crowded. The tiny restaurant only fits 8/10 people who enter all together, sit in front of the kitchen and get served simultaneously with 10 pcs of sushi, a cup of green tea...More

Came here after the tuna auction and had amazing sushi breakfast. I was expecting a long wait, however, I was walked right in. Ordered the omakase set menu which is the best way to go.The chef is fast and whole meal lasts about 10-15 minutes...More

After the overwhelming good reviews waiting 40' to get in didn't seem unbearable. Once in and squeezed between others to the point you can barely move your elbows you are promptly served a standard set of sushi without asking (they don't speak English anyway), you...More

We walked by sushi dai and saw the line :). Daiwa sushi has a line too, but it wasn't as long and it got good reviews so why not. We waited about 20 mins and once we got in, we each order the omakase. The...More

I know this sounds a bit mad but Daiwa Sushi was the reason I decided to stopover in Japan on my way back from NY. It was an utterly enjoyable break in the dull monotony of a 24 hour flight. It is probably a bad...More

We originally planned to go to Sushi Dai and bear the long queues. We arrived at 8:10am. I lined up for sushi dai and my friend lined up for sushi daiwai. After 40mins, my queue only moved a metre. My friend was almost at the...More

It has become almost a Tokyo ritual for us - waking up early and braving the queues to get to Sushi Daiwa. It helped that the Fish Market is (was?) in the midst of relocating and the crowds had thinned out. Order the seasonal specials,...More

The course menu is pretty standard (7pcs and half roll). Quality wise is standard, lacking the super fresh taste it used to have. Do not order anything outside the course menu. You will be disappointed. I ended up leaving the uni sashimi behind because it...More

There is a orderly queue outside the little restaurant. We waited about 30 minutes before our turn to eat inside. The sushi is amazing! Loved the otoro (tuna belly)... TRULY AMAZING!!!

Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's
also a downtown area with shops that were founded over
a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury
boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza.
It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll
while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels,
world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a
collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular

From my experience, there isn't any space for a baby. The space is very cramped, you sit elbow-to-elbow at the sushi counter, and the space behind your back is about two feet wide and necessarily occupied by servers... More

It really is the luck of the draw, some days are busier than other days. When I ate here in September the wait was about about 35 minutes at 9am. A party of 5 though, forget-about-it, it's too small. For me personally I had... More
