Stunning food and very attractive setting. Food was beautifully presented and high quality which is not surprising. Omekase menu was 25000 yen per person excluding sake. And total bill around 60,000 for two people so not cheap but pretty standard for this quality food. Chef explained each course in English and service was attentive. Must try Depending on your budget.... More

I've never had such amazing sushi before I came to Sushi Kanesaka. The ingredients and rice were a perfect harmony that melts in my mouth. I never knew sushi could taste so sublime. The chef was also very friendly and willing to explain each sushi - he only served 5 people (including me and my wife) during lunch. Definitely an... More

Been to Masa...excellent Been to masahisa...completely sold out for the dollars And countless others... Kanesaka Ginza is my top 2. Excellent selection, properly presented with taste considerations and timing.... And the best rice I've ever experienced .....and it's all about the rice. A 2.5 hr experience I'll be judging others by.

Went for lunch. They had 5,000, 10,000, and 15,000 JPY options. I chose the 10K JPY option. it did not disappoint. The chef is a master at his art and speaks some English as well to explain the dishes. The staff and the chef are pleasant. I left satisfied, full and with great respect and appreciation for this form of... More

We were really lucky to walk in without reservation as most restaurant were fully booked a month ago. Thus, strongly recommend to reserve your table in advance. Staffs and chefs did not speak much English yet service was really good and kind people. It is indeed the art to see how chef preparing our meal. All the ingredients were packed... More

Was looking for a good sushi restaurant to go in the Ginza area for my visit to Tokyo. Found this 1-star Sushi restaurant from the Tokyo Michelin Guide. The rating was good on Tablelog as well so I decided to book it through my hotel (Imperial Hotel). Booking was promptly done by the concierge and got the lunch time slot... More

We had the omasake and it was delicious. The restaurant has few tables and is very cozy. Sanpei, the chef is amazing and very friendly. The fish was extremely fresh and delicious. I would totally recommend this place. The sake was great too.

The Ginza (Original) Kanesaka is only 5 minutes walk from Sukibiyaki Ginza, but the differences are noticeable. Staff and Chef are friendlier, smiling and chatting with you professionally as well as finding a less costly pricepoint. Even though the food was just as good. Omakase menu in the US$200 range. Reservations can be difficult but hotels usually can help. Good... More

The chef was amazing and entertained the 8 of us at his bar. The sake was flowing and the fish, hand made wasabi, and endless food kept coming. At the end we where blown away at the cost but it was an amazing experience. We have eaten at some similar style places and there are lots of options and more... More
