Lovely old fashioned bar with and interesting history. We were disappointed there was no Irish music.

Had visited here a few years ago and they served very good food but on this trip I found it to be average . Very disappointing . Will not revisit as there are plenty other pubs and restaurants who serve much better food .

Excellent bar food and very friendly staff in a really atmospheric pub situated on the market square in Kilrush.

We stopped to get a light lunch. We both had the soup of the day and split a BLT. All were fine. Nothing bad nothing outstanding hence the average rating. Server was very pleasant but service was very slow even by Irish standards.

Before I write the review, when I told the waitress how our meal was, she explained the chef was off on the day of our visit! I love seafood chowder, it's so easy to do it right. Except for Crottys. I would implore the chef to reread the recipe book, because what I was served was no more like the... More

Ate her for two nights on a recent trip to Co. Clare. Very busy pub with gorgeous fresh tasty food. Clean plates all round. Fish on both nights (salmon on one night and cod on the other) was well cooked and fresh as if it was caught that day. Will visit again when in the area and would recommend for... More

Dreadful experience as a group of 8 - No table to hand when we entered, assumed this was a good thing. The pub had a musky smell. We ordered from standing, had to wait 30mins for a table. Our food was not ready when we sat, even though we were assured it would be. To top off the food delay,... More
