Today we took the train from Valencia to Alicante. After having a great time in Valencia with tons of restaurants, the streets of Alicante look a little disappointing and so was the food at Rincon Huertano. Vegetables didn't seem to be fresh, but straight out of a can/freezer. The entrecote consisted for 60% of fat. The cod looked like coming... More

We enjoyed a lovely evening again at this, our favourite, restaurant in Alicante. As soon as we sat down, the place seemed to fill up quickly - with mostly locals, which is a good sign. We shared a great salad, drank a fantastic Alicantean wine - very reasonably priced and chose steaks for our mains. We only had room for... More

My wife and our nine year old daughter ate lunch here. What a meal, what wonderful staff. We had nonalcoholic beer, fried fish, meatball soup, melon and ham and the crowning dish of the whole meal, Alicante paella. Filled to the brim with seafood and chicken this magnificent paella was among the best I've ever eaten. The wait staff was... More

I was looking for an old traditional style restaurant to eat and this fitted the bill perfectly. Food was great and the service was quick and efficient. We ate in the evening and it was pretty quite but we may have been there early by Spanish dining standards. This place also had the best draught that I had whilst over... More

Found this restaurant some years ago so was delighted to see it still there and also still serving homely food on my recent visit to Alicante. It's a ten minute walk from the Melia Hotel where we stayed ( separate review) and is located just off a small square which even in January was buzzing with locals enjoying drinks. The... More

Good food (paella) lovely place and good deal/price. They offer several types of Paella. Lovely. Do not be in a hurry, that is a suggestion not for Rincon Huertano but for all restaurants.......... everywhere

The paella was excellent and well worth the 9,50 per person. The service wasn't the best but we could live with that - the gentlemen serving us were nice but not very attentive. Worth a visit!
