I read the reviews and chose to try the chicken soup for lunch. It was a broth with chicken, rice, fresh chopped avocado, and sliced green onion . It is a very simple and satisfying soup that Im sure would be good if you were feeling a little under the weather. I also had the chips and salsa that I... More
We were visiting & wanted to try a good Mexican place. It was good, we had a party of 6 & the waiter did a good job on keeping drinks & chips filled. I am always disappointed when fajitas do not come out sizzling but the portions were big & everyone left with full tummies. The prices were right on... More
This is a local family owned business with a family mexico culture background that understands the quality of good, delicious authentic mexican food. Experience it to enjoy the tasty food and excellent friendly service.
Haven't eaten here in almost 15 years, and I was so happy to see it is still as great as when they opened. Fast, pleasant service. Affordable menu, and awesome food! If you like guacamole, order it here. Most places give you an ice cream scoop of it, I seriously think they used a shovel! A table of 8 famished... More
I loved this place. The staff is really friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere relaxed. My Enchiladas were perfectly cooked and the portions plenty. My daughter had a chimichanga and said it was great. Love the queso. No real negatives except they need to change their tea out a little more often. Tasted sour. Overall solid... More
I eat here often. Alone, with friends, family, coworkers! Love the food. Super friendly family owned restaurant. Haven't disliked anything yet. Some stand outs to me: Beef chimichanga, chicken fajitas, chicken soup, cheese dip, beef quesadilla, the sweet tea!
I love our trips to El Zarape! The food is good, the atmosphere is chill, and the proprietors and employees are very friendly and really try hard to make sure the customers enjoy their meals. At times, it gets busy and a little cramped, but that is more of a testament to how many people enjoy this restaurant rather than... More
One of the best places to have Mexican food in tahlequah! Everything I've tried from there is excellent. Prefer the carna asada dinner & their chicken soup when I don't feel good though! Chicken soup is like no other with a wonderful broth, rice, chicken, cilantro, topped with avocados (probably missing a few ingredients ) Great service as well!
