Our first night in Italy and we came here for a meal. The food and wine was lovely. And the waitress spoke very good English. All the food was lovely. They even had some swings for the children to play on. If you are in...the area please go for a mealMore

Lovely restaurant with fantastic food and really friendly staff. Gets very busy so good idea to book early. The outside seating area is great with lots of plants and flowers and a place for younger children to play. Lots of car parking space down the...road right next to the restaurant. We would definitely eat here again if in the area.More

The place is very large with many many tables and it does not feel very private. We took the pizzas for which this place is well known and they were very good. It is also good price / quality. It is strongly recommended to book...in advance as the place is quite crowded and they have a very large parking.More

While staying in Sillico for a week, we followed a fellow traveler's recommendation to visit Il Pozza and were very happy we did. As other reviewers have noted, book ahead. It does get quite busy, but during Corona times, the tables on the terrace were...well spaced, there were individual packets for condiments and cheese, and there were handgel pumps to be found in multiple places. But most importantly - the food was excellent! We had pizzas, bruschetta, pasta, & desserts on our two visits and nothing failed to please. If you're a chocolate fan, I highly recommend their chocolate "cake" dessert. The staff were friendly and helpful and our lack of Italian didn't hinder our ability to communicate much (with the help of google translate to look up some things on the menu.)More

Staying in the area we we looking for a good bistecca grilled on the wood. Our housekeeper recommended Il Pozzo and we weren’t disappointed. It’s a popular address for the locals so a good sign. We enjoyed a very Good bistecca with a nice bottle...of Chianti. The side dishes were also very good, especially the fresh pasta aglio & olio.More

Long stay with my Italian parents who live in a village nearby - Villa Collemandina. We’ve been coming to this restaurant for years and years and years . Admittedly there are new restaurants that have popped up especially around Bagni de Lucca, Il Pozzo still...remains incredible and so worth every penny oh euro , sorry . We went on a Monday evening and it was heaving but despite this , we managed to get a table for 3, despite not booking . It was busy , bustling and a fabulous vibe to it. Young , old , families and solos. It was so so fabulous, we went 2 nights on the run. A la carte menu . We are : Pasta with lobster - al dente with generous pieces of lobster . The pasta was doused in a garlic , lobster flavoured oil. Pink gnocchi - that with the cheese sauce melted in the mouth . Lasagna crepes- so light and again melted . Incredible scallops. 3 perfectly cooked wrapped in crudo I think . Tuna - perfectly cooked and served. Ginormous piece of steak . Pork with a rich glazed onion topping . Potatoes like finely cut crisps . Salad . Spinach - was surprised at the big portion. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Good sized portions. Pizzas were most popular . We haven’t eaten them as yet . We could see the chef throwing the dough as opposed to using a machine that most have resorted , of late, to in this region . Makes a massive difference. The service was spot on . All were v v busy . Just the right amount of time between courses . It’s not fast but then why would you want it to be? The staff are so efficient, friendly and helpful. They have enough English to help and are willing to do so if needed. My dad pointed out a table of established men he knew. In the corner on the right side of the doors to inside . He explained they come every lunch and evening, have do so for years . Low and behold , they were there again and both nights . Look out for a Santa lookalike! We love it here and will continue to come time after time and year after year whilst it remains this way .More

Very very busy place, so remember to book a table. Local- and tasting menu great value. Otherwise a la carte has lots to choose from. Most waiters speak English. A must go to, when in town!

A hotel receptionist told us about this local spot which we enjoyed so much that we visited twice. We are both very well traveled and enjoy good food as, as a result, are confident that readers will have a delicious experience in every way. Locals...obviously agree with us given the consistent and varied flow of diners, ranging from couples to families, and even singles. Food was excellent and servers were quite lovely.More

We came to this very busy restaurant and were very happy with the service, location, ambiance and the food. Everything was fantastic and this would be a 5 star review if one of our group (a blonde 30 year old female) hadn’t been followed to...the toilets by what we deduced to be either management or an owner. He was a man in his 40’s or 50’s with dark, olive skin, white hair and very light eyes. He stood behind her smiling at her in the mirror and made her feel very uncomfortable. When she hurried back to join us, he rejoined the rest of the management/owner table in the corner and stared at her for the remainder of the meal. We swiftly requested the bill and headed to our car to find him stood outside watching us drive away. It was extremely creepy and I am writing this as a warning. It was a great evening with great food... but do be cautious.More

My wife and I had three or four meals here during our two weeks in the lovely part of Tuscany. That speaks for itself I think. Do book, as it is obviously popular with locals and visitors. I really cannot say more other than the...food is really really good and as far as I am concerned if it did take a while to arrive, it was well worth it. Good things take time in my view. As this was in June 2018 I cannot recall the details of each meal, but every choice hit the spot.More

I would book to be on the safe side. They probably won't be full - they have so many tables - but it is getting busier so if you want to be outside it's better to, just to be safe. Enjoy!
