Lovely family meal here again today, we come here regularly, the food is always great. 2 meals for the price of 1 at certain times, which is fantastic value!

Regularly visit this pub for food and drinks. Came here the other day for a girls catch up, week before I was there with my parents and boyfriend. I have even been here after a funeral to celebrate the life of a friend that passed away. There was about 20 of us and nothing was too much trouble for the... More

Was staying a the local hotel, where food and drin looked a little pricey So we walked here, what a god decision.... Starter was Fantastic ... Main was even better .... They know how to cook a steak to your liking .... Next time I'm there I will call again

Wow it was busy - no one wanting to cook before the big feast.... Seated quite quickly but bit of confusion on where to put us. Drink order then Food order taken quickly and served really really swiftly. Fish dish and salad were good, faggots ok but liver tough and swimming in same faggot gravy. Puddings and coffee lovely. £80... More

We ate here last Xmas as it is midway for all our family. Last years meals were good and a year on we had the same pleasant experience. It's a cosy pub with good English pub food, that is well cooked fresh and tasty. Combine this with competitive prices and staff that care and you have the perfect combination. Thanks... More

I will concede that this was a set Christmas meal on a busy lunchtime, and the service was pretty good however, the best thing about the meal were the bought in deep fried squid rings (starter) and it went downhill from there. Tasteless turkey, too many potatoes (I like potatoes), bullet like sprouts, one tiny chipolata, and a wet slab... More

We have visited The Royal Oak at Brandon three times now. Two as a couple and two as a larger group. All three visits have been very satisfying. The food has been good quality, not too pricey and the service has been impeccable.

Went to the Oak for our Christmas lunch, all paid up before we arrived. Had the meat lasagne which I've had many times. This time round, there was an additional hair in it. Wait staff advised they wouldn't refund it as we had paid already and it was 'too complicated' to refund me. I'd eaten more than half my meal... More

Saturday late lunch, The Royal Oak, been many times before but this may be the last, cold when ever the front door was open, saw the offer of 2-4-1 but was not offered the special menu to order from so we ordered from the normal menu, I ordered the mixed grill and it turned up looking over cooked and burnt....
