We had lunch in this small harbour restaurant. We asked for a carafe of wine but we were told that they only serve wine by the bottle or half bottle which was expensive. Very strange for a tiny restaurant. When my moules et frites arrived the mussels were stone cold on the top of the bowl. Go elsewhere - there... More

We were in Meze on a Friday night, whilst on a canal boat trip. We failed to book a restaurant and this was one of the only places we could find. The service was poor, oysters came after the main course, the pasta tasted like the sauce had come from a jar, and the muscles were overcooked and tiny. All... More

We arrived and were offered a table. In due course menus arrived, followed by water and olives. Others arrived and were seated, and presented with menus. We waited. The waiter took the order of those who followed us. We pointed out that we were there first. He said 'desole' and walked away. We waited, the waiter did not returnd. 15... More

Firstly we booked on recommendation of the hotel and got the last table, Fortunately for us. We had a outstanding night starting with local fresh shucked oysters and choices off the menu. Service was fast and friendly. We sat out side on a warm night and with the setting sun and the water behind us had a truly memorable night.... More

It's difficult to find food in harbour restaurants that isn't like everything else you've always had. This place tries harder and we enjoyed lunch- salad repas very good and the best frites with the moules for a long time. Le patron seem to have a slight curl of the upper lip when we arrived at 1.30 but he warmed up.... More

Reluctant to try this restaurant because of mediocre TA rating. A friend convinced me to go with a couple of visiting US friends. What a delight....... Except for a couple of service miscues this was as good as any I have been to in Meze. Entrees were varied and creative ( smoked salmon marinated in ginger and lemon). The main... More

This became our favourite restaurant the four years we lived in Méze. The menu is creative, and has some unique items - eg my favourite desert; delicate pastry with pear and chicory ice cream, drizzled in toffee. I never had a bad meal there, and the menu is supplemented with daily specials. They also cater for vegetarians which is rare... More

Meze is just a delight, and the plethora of restaurants that grace the harbour is formidable!! In the main, they are much of a muchness, but this charming little spot tries hard to please. The lunchtime menu at 13 euros is excellent value.( and includes 2 courses and a glass of wine or coffee). The choice is good. We enjoyed... More

This is the first restaurant next to the free car park. I wish we had walked on but once inside the head waiter almost ties you to the chair. We wanted to move table but was ushered to another, I don't know why as only 3 tables were taken all evening. Menu at 33.50 Euros was ok but no more.... More

We were staying at the Hotel de la Pyramide, and walked into Meze to eat. The Rest'thau was the first one we came to at the Marina, and as it was a Tripadvisor reccomendation we thought we'd give it a try. What a pleasant surprise! We had the €28 menu. I can recommend the foie gras and smoked duck salad.... More
