That pasta actually looks delicious to me! I always get good and friendly service when I go there.and fabulous food.

Extremely poor food and service. When we complained about the creamy pesto pasta we were told we do not know what pasta is and that this is how it’s made. I am no Italian however as you can see in the picture, the ‘pasta’ looked...unappetizing and inedible. It was overcooked and drenched in a thick-cream soup, no chicken or pesto to be seen on the plate. We were told that we should accept the food and that we are ungrateful even though we were paying customers. Eventually I was told by the owner’s wife that I am not welcome back to the restaurant because I was dissatisfied. Please don’t waste your money or time. I was extremely disappointed by the service and the way the owners/managers handled this matter. I do not recommend it all.More

This funky cafe is the ideal spot to stop for breakfast when driving from Joburg down to the Kwa Zulu/Natal game reserves such as Hluhluwe, which is what 6 of us did on 8/22/2019. It is easy to find slightly off the main road and...there is plenty of parking and two sets of toilets, one upstairs and one downstairs. There is a lot of unusual art and decoration ("madness" perhaps?). The breakfast menu was interesting and most of us had the fluffy omelettes which were delicious. Service was very friendly and attentive and the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because it took a long time for the meals to appear--good thing we weren't in a hurry! There is a liquor store across the road and we stocked up on beer and charcoal for the next few days. All in all a great little off-beat experience in Ermelo.More

Since my last visit to Madness Art Cafe it has changed ownership and I must say I am impressed with the change in the food they serve. The service was a little slow but that did not dampen the enjoyment of the steak I had....Well done guys. Keep it up.More

This coffee shop has a rustic/antique theme. The decor and furniture is mostly antique and old items. Their service was not too bad, but it seems as if the staff have nothing better to do than be on their cellphones. It took the better part...of 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Overall not a bad experience.More

We discovered Madness by chance when driving past. On our first visit we were enthralled by the wonderful quirky decor, friendly staff and great food. We returned today and had a fantastic lunch. Madness is a gem to be enjoyed.
