we were greeted by a happy young lady who made us feel very welcome and special guests. The menu was explained well, the food when it came had a French touch to it and the prices were excellent. The hotel is in the process of being renovated and it has lots of character. Well worth a visit. Hope one day... More

Since this pub has been renovated, it has become one of the top restaurants in the hills. Really tasty and well presented food, not excessively pricey. Staff are fantastic. Good place also for a business lunch.

The premises, food, staff are all excellent. We spoke to the chef wondering what a flavour in the sauce was, not only did he tell us, but gave us the recipe.

A great experience, excellent meal and attentive but unobtrusive service . Our overseas guest had not been in the Hotel since before the rebuild and just couldn't believe the magnificent work.At the same time the food did not disappoint as my wife and I are once a monthers and it lived up to our expectations.Wine list and cellar to salvitate... Went to Mount Lofty to admire the view and seeing as it was a reasonably clear day the view was good. Dropped into the Crafers Hotel afterward and found there was a cool room for the wine in the bottle shop!!! Sensational effort!!! Given many supposedly top end restaurants serve red wine at room temperature on a summers day (shame... More

We weren't sure where to head for dinner - staying in Mt Lofty on a Monday night. Did a quick google search and up came with The Crafters Hotel. 5 minutes drive down the road and we were there. It was surprisingly busy at 6.30. We wondered if we would get a table. We were welcomed with a smile. Had... More

My wife and I discovered 'The Crafers Hotel" some time ago now and it never disappoints. With either friends or family for whatever reason we just love the food and the atmosphere. There has been the odd time when I have stopped in for a beer and a creme brulee.

WE nearly didnt go in as the entrance was surrounded by scaffolding. We are glad we did. All the staff were happy to be at work and responded at all our enquiries in a cheerful manner. We choose to eat in the restaurant and were not disappointed. The duck was well cooked whilst retaining it juices and flavour. The meals... More

Dear whitey09, thank you for wading through our scaffolding! We do forget that this might be off-putting as our regulars are well-used to our building shenanigans! This latest stage will see two new seating "nooks" to the left and right of the main doorway, refurbished balconies for the bedrooms upstairs, and a completely new courtyard out the front. I do... We had a wonderful night at The Crafers Hotel. Recently renovated it has a new lease of life. The service was faultless and the food excellent, highly recommended the seafood linguine. Add bonus is the wine room, we found a great 20 year old Shiraz for $70. Worth a visit.

Dear 4lynn, lovely that you found us in our new iteration of this historic old hotel. Very pleased that you discovered our wine room, and found yourself a nice Shiraz at an agreeable price. See you again soon! Kind regards, Julie Peter More

Stunning building and great range of drinks. It would have been an awesome night but our mains were completely over powered by the (what were they thinking) curried butter that came on the black angus scotch fillet. All I could taste was curried steak, salad & potato. I wish I had sent it back. Service was good but I got... More

Dear Darren P, many thanks for dining with us and enjoying our building and drinks. I shall look into the curried butter issue. I'm not sure if you had the Tuesday special of steak frites with sauce Cafe de Paris, or the market produce from the josper with a sauce de jour... in any case I'll ask chef. It could... More
