Last night we tried Tartana Playa for the first time, mainly because we were always impressed with Marks cooking and presentation when he owned Los Laurels., We were not disappointed, tasty beautifully presented food , excellent and professional, waiter service, very good value for money ....... Tartana Playa restaurant is in a delightful spot right opposite the beach ., the... More

The main restaurant at the hotel appears closed so food is available at Tartana playa on the beach front. Lovely Sunday lunch which is one of the largest feasts I have ever had. The chorizo and tuna starter was excellent. Lauren the waiter kept us amused for the afternoon.

At the outset I should say the operation of this restaurant seems to have reverted back to its parent since we dined here first, and in the process the menu and personnel have changed too. So, my wife and I dined here both in September/early October and again just last week, by which the transfer of operation back to the... More

We were staying at the Hotel La Tartana and ate at the restaurant for three successive nights simply because it was so good. Dining outside on the terrace was delightful and the food is so good it sings. We asked for a couple of special orders of things we particularly liked but which were not on the menu, leaving the... This old house-turned-boutique hotel and restaurant is charming, romantic and perfectly located on a hill above Herradura. Dinner in the courtyard is very tasty, though slightly over-designed in some cases - the maxim 'less is more' comes to mind. Service is warm and attentive. BUT....sitting in the fairy-lit courtyard is a very mixed experience: romantic for sure, but marred by... More

As ever Marks food never fails to impress, they even made our toddler an off menu pasta dish, despite being very busy. The level of service was 2nd to none and we enjoyed a fabulous lunch out on the terrace. Will be returning.

Its always good to get a recommendation and so we booked a table for the Saturday night. It is a small, boutique hotel, quaint, olde worlde and has just 4 or 5 downstairs rooms - these open off onto the small central courtyard - with a water fountain. Enter the hotel to a small reception, small bar area with little... More

Second visit to this restaurant. The outdoors setting is lovely and very relaxing. Re-visited as the food first time was outstanding, very much bordering on challenging for a Michelin star. Since then the chef has changed and we felt the standard had slipped somewhat.Still perfectly nice food and a bit different to the bog standard fare that most restaurants in this part... More

We had a a la carte menu, with the foie gras and the pumpkin salad for starters, followed by sea bass, hake and the tenderloin steak. Amazing food. The restaurant had prepared a birthday cake for our sons birthday, which was beyond amazing. The service this time was excellent. Warm, welcoming, professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place.
