Probably the best food I got to eat in whole Uttarakhand. The dal was made in pure ghee which was absolutely fabulous and I tried my favourite aloo gobhi which I told them to make a little spicy and they made it exactly how I wanted. The view is just awesome and we sat there for some more time after food. Chai is great too. A great experience all over.

I visited along with my friends for lunch on 1st Oct there. Everything from the started like pander tikka is awesome as good as ever.Exotic pizza and garlic bread are too good and fresh having mouthwatering taste.All the other items are also very good in taste. Must visit for goodies.
Only con's is that service is too slow and needs improvement.

Very good food and quality of food was superb. Pasta was very tasty and behaviour of Amit was very good. He was very helpful and guided us the places that may be visited during the visit.
Overall amazing experience.

We fell into the trap of asking the locals at Kausani Chowk, about a good place to eat. As you have it, this place was on the way to our hotel - thus we stopped there for lunch.
The over look as shown in the photos - is again, just a photo. Reality hits when you step inside the thatched restaurant, and one is swarmed with houseflies. Yes, that is reality - the rest are just photoshopped photos.
Coming to the food - we ordered masala dosa, Idli sambhar, Vada and sambhar, and hakka noodles. Dosa was palatable - but the sambhar was sweet and on the verge of going bad. The Idli was not idli - it was rotten rice cakes. The vada's were hard and cooked a few days ago it seems.
The only thing decent were the hakka noodles - but how can one enjoy when you have to fan yourself from the flies! We got them to refund our money for 2 items.
Avoid this place. Best is to continue on the road for 750 meters, and eat at Chevron Mountain Villa restaurant. Amazing food and good place to stay. Look for my review on the cottages that we stayed at Chevron Mountain Villa at Kausani.

Garden View Restaurant is situated near Hotel Uttarakhand and Kausani view point. The Himalayan view from the place is amazing. We did not expect the food to be good but they surprised us! Everything we ordered was good.

You dont get good restro's in kausani and hence would strongly suggest you this place.
The food serve is basic but served with warmth and tasty too.

This restaurant gave us a wonderful view of the Himalayas. The food is highly priced as per the portions served although it was not extraordinarily good. Preparation is just average. Location is ok. Needs improvement in quality of food.

Walking through the Kausani Market amidst drizzle, the road for the view of Himalayas led us to this place. This restaurant gave us a wonderful view of the Himalayas while the staffs were busy catering to our hunger pangs! The food is highly priced as per the portions served although it was not extraordinarily good. The ambience, the decor and the view of the Panchachuli peaks are perhaps the reason they attract the tourists much than their food.

Kausani has less options of food, so this one is good alternate, quality is okay but have less choice of food

This place is completely overrated. Extremely poor ...non existent service despite only 2-3 tables being occupied. High priced and average food. You can get better and cheaper food and service at some of the dhabas around the corner.
