Visited on a Groupon deal for Sunday lunch. Very busy when we arrived, with everyone enjoying their meals. Welcomed by the landlady and shown to our table immediately, where we were served promptly by two friendly waitresses. The roast meals were delicious, but the sticky toffee pudding was to die for! 100% recommend. Will be returning soon.

We had to book a Sunday roast two weeks in advance, at 12:30 instead of our preferred time of 1:30. It was nearly empty when we arrived. Our meal was served in just a few minutes. Service was friendly and cheerful. I had beef and my partner had pork. We both had cherry crumble and custard for dessert. There was... More

We visited The Wheatsheaf as a Groupon Deal for a Steak Dinner for two.... This offers the opportunity to try Gastro pubs we would otherwise simply drive past.. But it would be a mistake to drive past this handsome country coaching inn, which boasts fantastic views across Somerset, excellent food, faultless service, and a spotless tastefully decorated interior. Our steaks... More

As i tried... More

My family recently held a daytime gathering here with a buffet. The landlady was amazing. Really accommodating and genuinely cared that we had a good event. Re-firb looks great and real fires made a welcoming atmosphere. Great value for money.

Visited to try the food as others had been and enjoyed it. Certainly the refurbishment from before is a vast improvement and it creates a welcoming, warm and more spacious and stylish environment. I congratulate them on the decor, can't beat a bit of tartan for style, very nice. The menu is varied and includes a specials board. The lunch... More

Was looking forward to Sunday lunch. I chose the roast chicken dinner, ate about one third, veg was dried up,and looked stewed. Roast potatoes? Obviously frozen ones . The gravy was tasty My friend had the lamb, which she left as so tough. Some people chose the beef, this was all blood red . Not a good experience. I had... More
