What a find this place is! Set overlooking the sea in a peaceful location. There was a good range of choices all reasonably priced. Thankfully someone else in the party was game enough to spilt a platter with me. It was wonderfully fresh and excellent value - maybe a touch generous, but definitely worth it. I look forward to visiting... More

Had a fabulous couple of hours here. We've seen the café from the water so were keen to try it. Delicious crab sandwich and a very yummy chocolate brownie with strawberries and clotted cream and chocolate sauce. Fab, friendly service; efficient and relaxed, just what we like. The setting is absolutely beautiful with the most fascinating rock pools which kids... More

We kind of stumbled across The Beach Hut while looking for somewhere for a lazy lunch, we couldn't have been happier, delicious food and excellent wine. We had a baked camembert which was totally scrummy, king prawns with tomatoes which were so delicious I have been trying to recreate them at home and it washed down with a great rose.... More

Just off the coastal path a lovely little hiddeen away gem the sort of thing you would never find in a car. Great views and right on the sea front and quite a selection on the menu

Thanks for your review. The Beach Hut serves fabulous seafood lunches and we list directions on how to get to us by car or bus on our website and we are clearly located on Google maps. We look forward to seeing you for lunch next season. More

ideal spot next to the lifeboat station one could eat in or outside in the garden overlooking the sea watching the boats lining up to go in and out of port. children and pet welcome . We didn't eat there although the food looked and smelt lovely. Clean but basic ,prices average .

Please remove your 3* review of our cafe. We are NOT next to the lifeboat station and you cannot see boats lining up to go into a port. You mean The Lifeboat View Cafe. Not The Beach Hut. More

We stumbled on the Beach Hut in its first weeks when it was three tables in a hut, and were utterly charmed by the setting and the owners. Then we were served the most delicious food out of a seemingly non-existent kitchen and we were sold. You cannot have a bad time there. It's grown now, but charmingly, and is... More

A return visit two years later and just as good. The Beach Hut now has a drinks licence as well. Fantastic fresh Mediterranean seafood sitting in the Autumn Sun watching the ship's at sea. A relaxed long lunch which could have been anywhere in the world. Closes for the winter this weekend but if you like the relaxed beachfront type... More

Came across this cafe when walking along the beach from Bembridge Lifeboat Station and what a find. Situated just above the beach with amazing views to Whitecliff Bay and Culver Cliff. Sat in the garden in amazing late summer sunshine in September and ordered Baked Camembert with a honey drizzle, side salad, onion chutney and ciabatta bread. This was a... More

What a find. Very small hence the name hut and only open weather permitting as outside seats only. Limited menu but well worth visiting either for a drink or light luncheon.

Found this wonderful place by accident. Took a stroll from a nearby pub before moving on (stayed at beach hut instead ) .We were too late for lunch but had best crab sandwich ever, & lovely cream tea (warm scones with side dish of strawberries ) & free bickies for our dog. A definite must for future visits to the... More

Description
The Beach Hut is a small quirky seasonal outdoor beach kiosk reached down a few stairs. Fab lunches specialising in local seafood are served between 12 and 3pm and traditional afternoon teas between 3pm and 4.30pm. We had a small selection of non seafood dishes. All seating is outside, so we're only open on dry days. Due to our size and set up, we're not a suitable venue for large groups and we have to prioritise our tables for those wanting lunch between 12 and 3pm. Large groups of walkers wanting tea and cake only by prior arrangement. We are dog friendly, the beach is all year round dog friendly. We are now licenced with wine and beer on offer. We do allow BYO with a small corkage charge. Card payments over £10. Casual dress (bring a fleece!). Blankets and sunscreen provided. We have a camping loo. Food is cooked to order from a kisok, so on busy days it'll be a bit of a wait. Local IW crab and lobster is on the menu (if the fishermen can get out and we haven't sold out). All our cakes for 2016 are gluten free apart from our scones. Most of our menu is Gluten free. We are not posh, our furniture doesn't match. But we are friendly and relaxed. Bring kids, dogs and a jumper! X
