Pre booked at this popular cafe. Always a welcoming atmosphere. Table wasn't ready but the staff quickly rectified this while we had a look at the gift shop. Great food and loved the way the staff reeled off the long list of desserts. Not a place for anyone on a diet. Lots of cream in the cakes and large portions.

Had a great lunch with my husband and his uncle who lives down the street. The sandwiches were fresh and tasty and the dessert was amazing! The lovely girls who served us were so very friendly. We will return!

I came to this restaurant several years ago with my best friend and now have come, especially, with my partner. It is like eating in someone's living room with a fireplace and collections of jugs, cups and saucers etc. I love it. My partner had haggis, tatties and neaps and finished the lot off. A sure sign he enjoyed it.... More

Well have to say that tea and cake are our thing . Been to so many tea rooms, it's hard to say just how many! What a great selection of cakes, by far the best ever, the sponge cakes was so light and the meringue was simply yummy. The slices of cakes were of a very generous portion. Lovely staff ,will definitely... More

The friendly campsite staff, on hearing that we planned to visit Southend, recommended Muneroy. A Campbeltown shopkeeper did likewise. Yes, there are few other restaurants on the tip of the Kintyre peninsula, however that doesn't mean that Muneroy has to be good. But Muneroy is good. Very good. Worth a detour good. Southend has always been great for wildlife and... More

Had seen great reviews so eagerly anticipated. Service was poor and kept waiting to order soup and a sandwich. The sandwich was ok but the tomato and courgette soup was bland. Tried to liven it up with salt and pepper but the salt would not pour and when I opened the bottom end full of lentils to stop it going... More

Pay as many visits to Muneroy as you can! The cakes are simply delicious and there are always lots to sample. Not good for diets though.

Unprepossessing from the outside and you enter what seems to be a large living room via a small general shop. But once there ... food is excellent, better than we expected. Kids loved it. But the home made cakes are the thing here - wide selection and massive portions! Not much competition in this neck of the woods but they... More

Stopped for afternoon coffee and cake. Oh boy are we glad we did! There was a large choice of sponge cakes and some meringues. The size of the bit of sponge, would do two people, but why share ;) also the lightest, fluffyiest think we ever tasted! As for the meringues, O.M.G! Had the toffee one, 1/2 at that, it... More
