Great little place. Not a big menu but what they had was well prepared and tasty. This pub gave us a sense of the local community.

This place was just what I thought Irish pubs would be like!!! We quite stumbled upon it with the GPS in our rental car. We stopped at a rather late time in the afternoon for lunch after visiting Doolin Cave and Poulnabourne and the Burren. But Mark was very friendly and so accommodating, you'd never know. (And it's never too... More

Been coming in to here for over 20 years now. A typically local pub that also serves honest to goodness food. A limited menu compared to some, but always good, home cooked and plentiful. Situated in kilfenora village, they also have a barn for set dancing which is extremely popular. Great atmosphere, popular with locals and tourists alike.

I'm afraid we overwhelmed the pub owners by stopping in with about 25 study abroad students at the same time they were hosting a group who'd just been to a funeral. However, the staff handled us all like champs -- even took a minute to show a student or two how to pull a pint. Food was good, basic pub... More

Great little pub. We discovered it by accident and we're delighted we did. Really lovely food and service. Wonderful traditional family pub. Well worth a visit. Will definitely be back!

I'm so glad we stopped in this place today. The fire was cozy, the Guinness was "mothers milk", and the food was absolutely delicious, Mark was an excellent host and gave us valuable advice for the rest of our day and an expert opinion on the pubs in Galway that we should try. We will be back, hopefully sooner rather... More

The Vaughan family has owned and managed the Vaughan Pub for eight generations in Kilfenora, County Clare. We dropped in for our daily dose of vegetable soup, brown bread, and Guinness. The pub is located near the Burren Center gift shop, and the ruins of an ancient cathedral. The banners on display portrayed the difficult history of this quiet town... More

Stopped in for a quick drink whilst scouting the area to actually find the Father Ted Parochial House (not an easy task). The barman was great fun and set us right. He also noticed that there was a 10 year old who was bored out of his mind whilst the adult prattled on about Father Ted episodes and he kept... More
