We absolutely love this place! We are always greeted with a smile, the staff is great and very helpful and Hannes always makes sure that everyone is having the best possible experience. The seafood and the fact that there is always ice cold 2M is a great factor why we always will return!

Our first visit was 17 years ago! We could not wait to share the experience with our kids. It exceeded our expectations and the kids were highly impressed! Hope we do not have to wait 17 years again.

In a trip to Kruger we ate at ths place, which serves Mozambican food and believe me, they do serve the real deal. It is a great place to eat, I dare to say the best in the area.

Prawn or snail starter excellent. Didn't want to wait 45 minutes for chicken. We probably should have. The tricolor steak was really good and different. Calamari not bad but could be better.

If you are in the area this restaurant is the place to go to for seafood. We were four adults and ordered a seafood platter for 2 people which is enough to feed 4. A selection of prawns, crab, mussels, clams, octupus and line fish in a mouthwatering peri peri sauce served with portuguese rolls - in a homely setting... More

The border town of Komatipoort does not have much to offer. So a Tuesday night at the Tambarina is about as good as it gets. A hint of Portugal (or it could be a Mexican cantina) in sweltering conditions, the restaurant rustles up prawns - sort of fresh - with an overlay of heavy Afrikaans cuisine. With the aircon full...
