We held our daughter's Christening celebration at the Pear Tree in the back section of the pub. A nice environment but even better was the food! We ordered a hot meal option of meat and potato pie which came with mushy peas, beetroot and red cabbage. The food was lovely and hot and was delicious! Everyone at our celebration commented... Myself and my partner went to the pear tree midweek for an early tea. The pub was very clean and quiet when we went in and we were seated and brought menus. After ordering it took about 30 minutes for our starters to arrive even though we were the only ones eating! My partner ordered piri piri chicken skewers which... More

So pleased with our time spent at The Pear Tree. We booked the back room with only 10 days notice for a family gathering of about 40 people plus children. Michael was extremely helpful on initial enquiry and it was a hassle-free experience. Everyone was impressed with the food supplied and finger foods were provided for the children. The staff... Havnt been to the pear tree since the new owners took over. So my wife and I gave it a chance. I was very pleasantly impressed , the food excellent service 1st class. Well done to the new owners , they seem to want to make a go of it.

Having visited the pear tree for a family meal for 20 of us I found it just to be average. The starters were lovely but the main not so good, for what they charge for steaks it was not good at all like a cheap version of a steak. Also when you hear the manger speaking to the staff abrupt saying... More

22 family members visited on Saturday 4th February to celebrate my wife's birthday. What a great place this is now. Even with two other parties in, the service was brilliant. The food was fantastic as was the welcome we received off Michael and all his staff, who were very courteous. We stayed all night and everyone really enjoyed themselves. Will definitely... More

Called into Pear Tree with friends after booking a table a few days prior. The owner - Michael - took our orders. He made us feel so welcome with a warm friendly service. Food was excellent. Highly recommended

I visited with my husband and toddler last week for our tea. The menu is small but good options. Food was delicious. Children's menu good value for money. Desserts we thought however were bit pricey for something that had just been got out of the freezer. Decor and furnishings need updating but overall we had a lovely meal and will... More
