We had lunch here, the food was really good as was the service. We sat upstairs overlooking the yacht club and harbour, we found it very relaxing to watch the world go by, would visit again.

The fact that Harbour Lights still operates is beyond comprehension. Even when the restaurant was in better shape a couple of years ago, it was never entirely well kept and I fear that it has deteriorated yet more. Being a night on which little else was open for dinner and therfore without many options, we took our chances at Harbour... More

Dear Valued Guest, Thanks for reviewing our venue so quickly. You are right, the owner and his family were sitting next to you to have their end of year supper, being busy all day we are still human being, got family and have the right to eat. The reason why the owner did not get involved in that was because our... More

What used to be a really classy restaurant in a spectacular setting with awesome seafood, has now become just another poorly run, expensive, poor quality food joint. On New Year's eve they ran out of shrimps (really! They are always bought frozen) ran out of smoked salmon, ran out of Jagermeister, ran out of Red Bull....all this on New Year's... More

Simple place. Service a bit confusing. Food was not exceptional, but good. Great view and very good live music did the rest.

This is by far the worst meal we have had in our touring the Western Cape: Mussels literally stinking - we both had to leave our starters untouched. Main course was hake with unfrozen chips (and a sidedish of unfrozen tasteless and formless vegetables) - and the soft unfrozen chips were the best part of that dish; the fish was... More

Obeing to common customer service rules and mostly common sense in the hospitality industry, I have to apologize for the inconvenience that is expressed by your review of the quality of the foods we are proud to serve. Seems like you have full details of the food safety and quality of our restaurant. I do apreciate the fact that you... More

After driving all over in Gordon's Bay trying to find a good place to eat, we found this place. The pictures looked good. The location is really good. The interior, the service, the food NOT. The bathroom and stairs leading to it - grubby, untouchable. So much potential... Hopefully someone changes this

We are regular visitors to Gordons Bay and try to support local restaurants as often as possible. Harbour Lights is one establishment which we have never got to, despite reading good reviews. It has also been fully booked on one two previous attempts to visit (another positive sign). I therefore made sure I made a booking a few days ahead... More

Went to the restaurant in the afternoon to make a booking for the evening. Then already the waitress had no clue of what she was doing. She had 3 cold drinks to order and got it wrong and unable to answer any questions. Should not be handling any customers. We liked the location and hoped it would change. Last night... More

Location and View = Great Food = The seafood and the pizza's are a bit pricey, not fair value for money compared to Ocean Basket, but was good. Burgers etc are average cost compared to other places The service is horrible. The waitress who served us were very unfriendly and not really in the mood to serve us. The manager... More
