Food quickly prepared and of high quality. Excellent service, smiles galore, couldn't be more welcoming and helpful. Need to book. We ate there three times during our Cotswold holiday.

I have never written a trip advisor review before but feel this amazing pub restaurant deserves one. We have been in the Cotswolds for 9 days and this was the third visit to The Plough because we absolutely loved it and were so looked after! As a coeliac I felt that they truly understood gluten free food (GF gravy, cauliflower... More

We were on holiday in Lechlade and ate three times at the Plough Inn as the food and service were great. Our kids had lovely options and good value and the playground kept them entertained while we waited. The Sunday roast was fantastic. A full plate of assorted vegetables, meat, yorkshire and gravy. On each visit we were incredibly well... More

We usually only have a drink here but we decided to eat this time. All the food was excellent, well presented and incredibly tasty. Our dog even got a bonio! The staff are all really friendly and you can even get a tub of sweets for the walk home. Excellent way to spend an evening.

I visited The Plough this past weekend as a last minute option with my brother and friends as a last minute option as other pubs in the area we had looked to book did not have any availability. It was very busy but they were more than happy to accommodated us and as bold a statement it might sound this... More

Oh dear; another eating establishment spoilt for older people like us by serving vegetables in the current fashion of undercooking them - maybe with more nutrients but when your teeth are aged you can't chew them so you go away leaving half the meal uneaten. There must be a half way house for us older folk who constitute most mid-week... More

Lovely food and service. Nice beer too. Used to be dump back in the 80s, but a few good managers later and now saved from the brink. For any pub to survive these days - this is what it takes.

We were staying close by for a few days and The Plough was recommended by our B and B. It did not disappoint! We each had a different dish and all 3 of us thought they were excellent. The buttery mash with the liver and onions rated a "best mash I've ever tasted" an the rare rack of lamb was... More

We have eaten here a few times and have never been disappointed. The menu is small but a great selection. If you like a good steak this is the place for you.
