We went in on a cold morning. Hot chocolate had to be order of the day. It did not disappoint. I had regular hot chocolate and my husband one "with all the trimmings". This meant topped with a mountain of foamy cream, a jug of little marshmallows and a chocolate flake on the side. Both were delicious! The service was... More

Visited here after asking local people where was good to eat. It speaks volumes if locals rate a place and so we entered for lunch on a Sunny Saturday. The atmosphere is nice and friendly and ambience is laid back. Sofas adding to the homely feel downstairs and upstairs lots more seating They have a few specials on the board... More

3 of us went for a late Monday lunch. Whilst the choice of cake appeared to be reduced, this didn't bother us too much as by the time we'd eaten our main course we didn't have much space for anything else. On entry to the cafe there were no foody smells, which is always pleasant. There were a number of... More

We dropped in mid afternoon and had a lovely cream tea / coffee/ scones etc. The service was quick and the scones were tasty. I don't drink tea and asked if I could have coffee instead. The waitress said Ok. The teas were £4-25 each-good value, but the charged extra because I had coffee, not tea. It was only about... More

Stopped on the way to Mevagissy on the recommendation of TA and were not disappointed. Friendly service, very tasty food and reasonable prices made for a great lunch. This little gem of a place is a music venue too - which will add to its popularity and success.

I love the food here but what is going on with the menu guys? The food which is offered is good but no children's menu at all. Also all the staff are very lovely and polite over all good service but on the last few occasions I found myself desperate to get a waitresses attention to get another drink. If... More

Lovely food, good menu choice, good coffee. Usually have the prawn sandwich (it's really good) with a coffee. Sandwich is pretty filling though so I never have room for a cake but they all look delicious here. Another contributor compared this cafe to Costas, well I would choose No. 8 cafe over Costas any time!

A nice local cafe, but prices are expensive, would cost you the same as eating/drinking at costa. Saying that, it has a great atmosphere, and has the best hot chocolates and milk-shakes in town! Lovely place if you can afford it.

Had a lovely lunch - good choice on the menu and all reasonably priced. Good and swift service. Visit here regularly and will continue to do so.
