About
The Bistro at the Distillery is comfortable and stylish, offering an informal and modern dining experience to its customers. One of our main goals is to embrace the spirit of the Lake District. We achieve this by using regional ingredients where possible and having a key focus on freshness, flavour and simplicity. The Bistro is a place for a simple coffee and a slice of home-made cake, or go all out with lunch, a full afternoon tea or leisurely three-course supper. You can even dine al-fresco in our beautiful courtyard, or take advantage of our spacious and impressive Boardroom, ideal for functions or private events.

Rachael gave a really good service and the restaurant is modern with excellent toilets. It would almost have been really good but the chicken on the Caesar salad was served cold. I have eaten many ceasar salads where the chicken is served warm and is...More

We visited the bistro after reading good reviews. We were not disappointed. Eating With young children is always difficult as you don’t want to disturb other diners. The team couldn’t be more welcoming and we instantly relaxed. Great food fantastic service

We took friends to visit the distillery and have lunch in the Bistro. We'd been before but it was their first trip. Ellie was our waitress, and was marvellous. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The food was absolutely delicious. One friend who has spent a lot...More

We visited the distillery restaurant on a snowy February evening, which may explain why it was a little quieter than we expected. However, the lack of a full restaurant may have benefited us in quality of service. The staff were helpful (especially the sommelier) explained...More

We visited here & had the above deal. The food was really good. We had devilled chicken livers, & prawn salad for starters, then both had the roast cod with samphire & mash. It was all very tasty. The puds sounded nice but no room!

We had taken the distillery tour and booked afternoon tea for afterwards. It was fantastic, probably one of the best I’ve tried (I have tried a lot of other locations). The sandwiches were fresh and delicious. The cake and scone selection was wonderful, certainly plenty...More
