Almost 90 percent of U.S. travelers say they are worried about germs when they travel. And another 72 percent say they expect to pay for in-flight extras next year, a new survey by TripAdvisor says.

The online website, which compiles user-reviews of hotels, airlines and travel destinations, said 55 percent of travelers would request a new seat if their seatmate looked sick.

And 35 percent of travelers say they are most likely to pay for extra legroom while 26 percent say they would be willing to pay for in-flight food.
